She retired in 1995 from Morgan Drive Away of Elkhart, Indiana where she had worked as a driver for 18 years. Marianna was also very involved in crocheting. Since moving into the Village Green she loved playing bingo, attending their church services and participating in “Happy Hour”. She loved being with her grandchildren and she and Leo took the grandchildren on many of their travels throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leo E. Horner October 20, 2008. They were married September 13, 1945. Also a grandson Brian Shafer, brothers Ray Caupp and Harvey Caupp and her sister Faye Straley.
Marianna is survived by her children Gail Horner of Greenville, Shirley (Don) Keihl of Arcanum, Darlene (Donald) Oelslager of Eaton, Ohio and Doris (John) Shafer of Bradford; grandchildren David (Sharon) Keihl, Amy Keihl, Katrina Keihl, Chad (Lisa) Shafer and Jonathan Shafer; great grandchildren Olivia Keihl, Shelby Lynn Shafer, Erin Keihl, Max Shafer and David Shafer; sister Dorothy Fields of Union City, Ind. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday March 30, 2018 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Chaplain Jackie Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens Greenville, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 PM until time of the services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice of Darke County, Ohio.
