John Miller, Jr. (February 23, 2010)

Mr. John Miller Jr. age 85 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2010 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio. He was born March 20, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late John & Helen (Kincess) Miller Sr. He worked at Corning Glass for 15 years retiring in 1992. He served in the United States Naval Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Sisters: Ann Kershner, Betty Wimsey, & Barbara Hardiman.

He is survived by his wife: Phyllis R. (Lease) Miller of Greenville whom he married September 20, 1947; his daughters & son in law: Dena R. & Robert Nelsen of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Annice E. Miller of Minneapolis, Mn.; Step granddaughters: Alexandra Nelsen & Vanessa Nelsen; Brothers: George Miller of Brookville, Ohio, & Ernest Miller of Englewood, Ohio; & numerous nieces & nephews.

Services will be held on Friday February 26, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Peter Menke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday and from 12:00 to 1:30 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Full military honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
