Jack Deaton, 89, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Heartland of Greenville.
He was born January 9, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Jeff and Nellie Deaton.
Jack was a self-employed carpenter and farmer. He loved fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife, of 68 years Gladys Deaton of Greenville; children, Karen (Neil) Skiver, and Kathy (Gene Robbins) Fisher all of Greenville; 4 grandchildren, Kelly (Phil Booker) Thwaits, Teresa (Walt) Taylor, Ranee (Niles) Richards and Rodney (Abbey) Fisher all of Greenville; 8 great grandchildren, Kohl, Krue, Kayge, Keris, Teha, Torie, Grant, and Haylee.
Services will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, September 19 at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio with Pete Green officiating. Burial will following in Greenville Union Cemetery.
