James A. Clear (July 20, 2010)
James Allen Clear was born February 1, 1951. Jim's parents are Frank (deceased) and Gladys Mae Clear. Jim has two sisters, Teresa Stetler Clear, Cindi Garrett and husband Colin Garrett as well as a brother Chris Clear and wife Lori.
I, Cathy Clear, married Jim on October 26th, 1970. We have two beautiful daughters, Nicki Sommer married to Justin Sommer and Lacy Clear. We were blessed with three precious granddaughters, Isabelle, Grace and Ivy.
In addition to his family Jim loved spending time outdoors, fishing, landscaping and refurbishing things that others had discarded. He loved sleeping in our little cabin on the lake, being lulled to sleep by crickets and frogs, and awoken by the birds in the morning. He was even known to go to bed at 6PM if it was raining just so he could listen to it. He loved his faithful companions, Barkley, his Rottie and Brody, his Lab, AKA "The Boys".
Jim never knew a stranger. He was the most outgoing, generous and loving man I knew. Our family was greatly blessed to have spent so many fun-filled years with him. He is sorely missed and has left a hole in our hearts that no one else can fill.
Jim left this world at 5:19 PM on Tuesday, July 20th, 2010.
As I face the days ahead without him and trials come Jim's oft-repeated words will echo in my mind, "It ain't nothin' but a thing".
A "Celebration Of Life" is being held for Jim on Friday, July 23rd at 5:00. It will be held at the park in Fort Jefferson which is located on Weaver's-Ft. Jefferson Road off of 121.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.storchbraundfuneralhome.com. Services are entrusted to Storch Braund Funeral Home in New Madison. A memorial fund has been set up in Jim's name at Second National Bank in lieu of flowers or gifts.
