Orpha Troutwine age 88 of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away at 2:14 P.M. on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Oakley House in Greenville. Orpha was born May 17, 1922 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Harman C. & Opal F. (Poling) Tegtmeyer.
Orpha was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pitsburg.
In addition to her parents, Orpha is also preceded in death by her husband, Loren “Shorty” Troutwine on June 13, 1997, whom she married May 20, 1944; great grandson, Corey Troutwine; brothers, Elmer, Carl and Cary Tegtmeyer; and a sister, Esther Tegtmeyer.
Orpha is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Tom L. & Barbara Troutwine of Arcanum; daughter & son-in-law, Connie & Dave Gilmore of Rossburg; grandchildren, Caleena & Steve Hesler, Claudette & Danny Diceanu, Misty & Randy Flory, Danyelle Cool, Brad & Dea Troutwine, Todd & Malisa Troutwine and Kelly & Jerrod Hill; 25 great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Ann Tegtmeyer of Greenville and Francis Barnhardt of Arcanum.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, with Pastor Haldon Robarge officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
