Herschel L. Schultz, 88, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Herschel was born on January 25, 1928, near Bloomer in Shelby County, Ohio.
He was the son of the late John and Ruby (Kinnison) Schultz.
Herschel attended school in Covington and Gettysburg, Ohio. He served in the United States 8230th Army on the front line in the Korean conflict receiving the combat infantryman badge. He was later selected as a personal bodyguard in the Guard of Honor for General Van Fleet, Eighth Army Commander, at Eighth Army headquarters in Korea. After his military service he returned to Darke County where he drove a truck transporting eggs from area farms to Poultry Producers in Versailles, Ohio. He was also a farmer and later worked at the Cadillac Gage/Textron plant in Greenville where he retired in 1993. Herschel was known for his kind and friendly demeanor and dearly loved his wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruby, brothers Leon Schultz and Dale Schultz, and brothers in law Richard Key and John Oliver.
Herschel is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann (Weaver) Schultz, whom he married on May 3, 1953. He is also survived by three sons; Randy and wife Jenice (Martin) Schultz of Englewood, Ohio, Greg Schultz of Washington, D.C., and Joseph Schultz of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Lucas and wife Bailey (Britton) Schultz of Huber Heights, Rachel (Schultz) and husband Dr. Tony Dejtiranukul of Cincinnati, Lindsey Schultz of Englewood, and Eric Schultz of Englewood; one great grandson, Owen Dejtiranukul; two sisters, Patty Key and Martha Oliver; two sisters in law, Marjorie Schultz and Dorothy Schultz; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a service held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Fred Bernhard officiating. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery, Gettysburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.

James R. “Jim” Mullins, age 87, of Gettysburg, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 4:49 PM at the Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. He was born on October 30, 1928 in Pine Hill, Kentucky, to the late Randolph Mullins & Mary E. (Jones) Chitwood.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville, Ohio. He retired in 1991 from Beatrice Foods in Greenville after 29 ½ years of service. He also worked at Netzels in Greenville for 16 years and was a farmer all his life.

Sister Merlene Vanessa Scott (May 22, 2016)
On Sunday, May 22, 2016, Sister Merlene Vanessa Scott, assisted by the angels at 12:56 a.m., put off the robe of pain and suffering and is now clothed in a garment set ablaze with peace, joy, glory and everlasting contentment. She left us, but left no doubts concerning who she was – a Mother in Israel; no doubts as to what she believed – the Gospel of Jesus Christ; no doubts as to where the truth lies – the saints in light, the church of the living God. Rest assured, her mark has been left on this world. A deaconess who loved the children and young people with all of her soul, she lived a life that did not tolerate sin, a life that honored her husband, demanded order from her children and gave all the glory to the God of her salvation. She was wed to her husband, Paul Scott Jr. on January 19, 1990. Along with her fellow laborer and Mother in Israel, Sister Lucretia Hargrave, Sister Merlene was there in the assisting of many children into this world.

James Clyde Crotcher (May 23, 2016)
James Clyde Crotcher, 68, of Versailles, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2016, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Jim is the son of Clyde and Isabelle (Fultz) Crotcher. He grew up on a farm in Bellevue, Ohio, and then attended the Ohio State University graduating with a degree in Animal Science. It was at Ohio State where he met his wife, Shirley Beard. They have been married 47 years. In 1970, they moved to Darke County where Jim was a feed specialist for 29 years for Landmark/Countrymark in Greenville and New Weston before becoming a realtor.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his three daughters, Kim and Milan Pozderac of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Kelly and Travis Fliehman of Greenville, Ohio, and Kristi and John Kaiser of Versailles, Ohio, and eight grandchildren: Abby, Milan, and Maribeth Pozderac; Lexi Fliehman; and Alex, Caleb, Luke, and Ben Kaiser. Also surviving is Jim’s sister Judy and Rick Lauer are of Nineveh, Indiana.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday May 26, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church 7814 St. Rt. 121 North Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Patti Morlock officiating. Lowell E. Arnold, age 90 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:56 AM Thursday May 19, 2016 at the Village Green Healthcare Center. Lowell was born March 30, 1926 in Darke County Ohio and the son of the late Arthur W. and Mary E. (Byram) Arnold.
He was retired from General Motors of Dayton where he had been employed for 31 years. He was a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine of Dayton and the Darke County Shrine Club. Lowell was a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Treva M. (Apple) Arnold October 28, 2001. They were married October 7, 1950. Also son in law Dennis Martin, brothers Dale as a youth and Richard Arnold, sisters Edith Hamilton and Dorotha Baker.

Richard Otho Kasunic, 85, of Greenville, Ohio passed away, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at his home.
He was born April 17, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Peter M. and Ardis H. (Baird) Kasunic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony, Louis, and Thomas Kasunic.
Richard graduated from Collinwood High School in 1950, Transylvania University in Lexington, KY with a B.A in history in 1953 and a Bachelors of Divinity at Hamma Theological Seminary. He had served many United Methodist Churches in many counties, Shelby, Williams, Defiance, Hancock, Licking, and Darke. He served New Madison UMC from 1975 to 1983. Richard retired in 1993 to Greenville, OH and was a member of Kiwanis of Sidney and New Madison.
Richard is also survived by his wife, June (Conner) Kasunic whom he married on August 23, 1952; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah (Allen) Brown of West Chester, OH, Chevone (Joe) Singer of Greenville, OH; grandchildren, Angela (Gary) Slone of Phoenix, AZ, Alyssa (Andrew) Carr of West Chester, OH, Steve Singer and friend, Kristy Brewer of Fairborn, OH; great grandchildren, Chandler Carr and Maddox Carr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at New Madison United Methodist Church, 149 N Main Street in New Madison with Pastor Carol Duffield officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison.

Carl Eugene Trittschuh (May 14, 2016)
Carl Eugene Trittschuh, age 85, Greenville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2016 at 9:40 P.M. He was surrounded by his family at Village Green Health Campus.
Carl was born November 1, 1930 in a large country home in Yorkshire, Ohio. Son of Willie and Arietta Mae (Nottingham) Trittschuh.
Carl attended a one room school west of Yorkshire, Ohio. He then graduated from Versailles High School in 1948. He worked at Coldwater New Idea for 5 years. He worked for Dairy Maid as a bottled milk delivery man in Greenville, Ansonia, Versailles and Russia for 25 years, after retiring from Dairy Maid; he worked for Dawn Grain & Supply as a semi-truck driver for 5 years and Greenville City Schools as a bus mechanic for 10 years of service. Carl’s strong work ethic, mechanical talent, and gift for perfection made him a wonderful role model for his family.
As a member of First Presbyterian Church, Carl served as an elder. He was a true servant on many committees, as well as the custodian for a number of years. He was also a member of Elks Lodge 1139 for 30 years. Carl enjoyed woodworking, auto mechanics, homemade ice cream, and candy-making. Both Carl and Phyllis loved camping, especially at the Darke County Fair where they first met in 1946. His greatest love was his wife, children, grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie; mother, Arietta Trittschuh; sisters: Delores Mae Karns Blake, Patty Cox and Helen Kay Dancer.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis (Young) Trittschuh to whom he was married June 10, 1950. They celebrated their 65th anniversary in 2015. Grandchildren: Matt (Hayley) Trittschuh, Kyle Trittschuh, Janna (Tyler) Sanders, Nick (Kelly) Westfall and Ben Westfall, Jansen (Colleen) Wehrley and Justin (Lacey, fiancĂ©e) Wehrley, and step-granddaughter, Tiffany (Brian) Bickers. Rebecca G. Powell, 69 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 1:36 PM at Sycamore Hospital, Miamisburg, Ohio. She was born January 4, 1947 in Greenville, Ohio the daughter of the late Oral & Ruby (Coppock) Boldman. She was a Legal Secretary for Amick and Breaden Law Office.
She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary; she volunteered for the Darke County Red Cross.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

Paul E. Rhynard (May 10th, 2015)
Paul E. Rhynard, age 69, died May 10th at his home in Rossburg, Ohio. He was born August 10, 1946 to Jane and Lloyd Rhynard (now deceased). He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy, his daughters Amy Perez of Maple Valley, WA, and Jennifer LaPoint of Alanson, MI. Their respective husbands RD Perez and Robert LaPoint, and four grandchildren, David Perez, Charlie, Madalaine, and Bella LaPoint. He is also survived by his two sisters. Donna DeWerff and Patricia Fogarty plus nieces and nephews.
Paul was a graduate of Ansonia HS and received his BA and Masters from Wright State University in Vocational Rehabilitation. He was a veteran of the Air Force and served during the Viet Nam Era. He was trained as a lab technician and worked in the field until his heart attack in 1994. In September of 1995 Paul received a Heart Transplant from the Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI. Following the transplant he returned to Wright State and completed his master in Vocational Rehabilitation. He then returned to work as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the US Government where he counseled many veterans. Paul attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Greenville, OH where he served as an usher and served one term on the vestry.
Paul loved his apple orchard, gardening, his ford tractor, musicals, good food, good friends and especially his family. Visitation will be held Friday may 20, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Services will be held at St Paul’s Episcopal Church Saturday May 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM. His ashes will be interred in Greenville Union Cemetery. Followed by a reception at the church. In addition to his father, Troy is preceded in death by his sister, Tanya Cole.

Dana Lee Yundt, age 48, of Greenville, OH, passed away, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her home.
She was born Thursday, February 22, 1968 in Greenville, OH, a daughter of Betty (Ditmer) Yundt of Greenville, OH, and the late David Lee Yundt.
Dana loved the Florida Keys. She loved the outdoors, sunshine and fishing. She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking Jammers around the neighborhood. Dana loved her family and most of all, she loved her daughter. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend.
Dana is also survived by her daughter, Shaylee Jane Bush of Greenville, OH, and her beloved Boston Terrier, Jammers; two sisters, Marsha Ditty of Greenville, OH and Tammy (Duane) West of Piqua, OH; two brothers, Scott (Wendy) Staggs of Rockwood, TN and David (Brandy) Yundt of Greenville, OH; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ruby E. (Rotroff) Kaugher, 91, of New Madison, Ohio passed away on May 10, 2016 at Rest Haven in Greenville. Ruby was born January 9, 1925 in Arcanum, Ohio to the late Charles T. and Elizabeth J. (Smith) Rotroff.
Ruby enjoyed softball, gardening and bowling during her life. She worked as a quality inspector at Corning in Greenville and AVCO. Ruby was a graduate of New Madison High School. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary LaRoy Farst Post #245, Corning Retirees and the American Flint Glass Workers Union. Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family the most.
In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, George Kaugher, whom she married in 1950; grandson Jimmy Allen; brother, Austin Rotroff; and two sisters, Alma Drew and Lucille Dohme.

Carl E. Neargarder age 78, of Frenchtown passed away at 2:59 P.M. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at his residence. Carl was born January 12, 1938 in Darke County to the late Chelcie & Alfreda (Goubeaux) Neargarder.
Carl is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Schwartz) Neargarder whom he married July 26, 1958; daughters & sons-in-law, Bonnie Phlipot of Versailles, Reyna & Jerry Shardo of Willowdell and Sheri & Jon Hoying of Minster; grandchildren, Brian & Sommer Phlipot, Carl Phlipot, Randy & Candace Phlipot, Eric Phlipot, Mindy & Justin Coby, Joe & Stephanie Shardo, Jeremy Shardo & fiancée, Sheree Simrak, Jacqueline Hoying, Jacob Hoying, Janae Hoying, Jenavieve Hoying, Josephine Hoying, Jillian Hoying, Julia Hoying and Jack Hoying; great-grandchildren, Mia Wilson, Cogan Wilson, Brady Phlipot, Cooper Phlipot, Everett Phlipot, Taryn Phlipot, Dylan Coby and one expected great-grandchild in August; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl formerly worked at Poultry Producers in Versailles where he was a truck driver, NCR in Dayton, and was a dispatcher at Carl Subler Trucking and Dick Lavy Trucking. Carl retired in 2008 from BNSF Logistics in Versailles where he was a dispatcher. Carl is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Schwartz) Neargarder whom he married July 26, 1958; daughters & sons-in-law, Bonnie Phlipot of Versailles, Reyna & Jerry Shardo of Willowdell and Sheri & Jon Hoying of Minster; grandchildren, Brian & Sommer Phlipot, Carl Phlipot, Randy & Candace Phlipot, Eric Phlipot, Mindy & Justin Coby, Joe & Stephanie Shardo, Jeremy Shardo & fiancée, Sheree Simrak, Jacqueline Hoying, Jacob Hoying, Janae Hoying, Jenavieve Hoying, Josephine Hoying, Jillian Hoying, Julia Hoying and Jack Hoying; great-grandchildren, Mia Wilson, Cogan Wilson, Brady Phlipot, Cooper Phlipot, Everett Phlipot, Taryn Phlipot, Dylan Coby and one expected great-grandchild in August; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl formerly worked at Poultry Producers in Versailles where he was a truck driver, NCR in Dayton, and was a dispatcher at Carl Subler Trucking and Dick Lavy Trucking. Carl retired in 2008 from BNSF Logistics in Versailles where he was a dispatcher. Carl was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown, Versailles Knights of Columbus for over 50 years and was Past Grand Knight, and was the 1978 Chairman of Versailles Poultry Days.

Ruth Evelyn Hoggatt, age 95, of Greenville, OH, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
She was born Monday, November 29, 1920 in Indiana, a daughter of the late Arthur "Ty" and Bessie (Marker) Olwine. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Merrill Gene Hoggatt whom she married June10 ,1940; three children, Karen Hoggatt, Janet Hurd and Kenneth Hoggatt; one great grandchild, Coty Gilbert; three brothers, Herman Olwine, Robert Olwine, and Arthur "Billy" Olwine; two sisters, Wavelene Woodall and Roberta Seals.
Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville. While her children were young, Ruth was a 4-H advisor and volunteered during summer bible school. Ruth retired from Fram Corp. after 25 years of service. While at Fram, she was a union steward and participated in the company bowling league. Ruth loved to sew and always had a large garden. She loved going to Florida for the winter where she played bingo and soaked up lots of sunshine.
Ruth is survived by three daughters, Barbara (John) Campbell, Fairborn, OH, Kitrina (Steve) Styer, Kettering, OH and Rita Hoggatt, Cambridge City, IN; four grandchildren, Monty (Patricia) Sewell, Karyn (Eric) Bruggeman, Kristie Gaddy and Sondra Hurd; four great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Angela Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in Ansonia Cemetery.

Donnie Perry Howard, age 66, of Greenville, OH, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on July 14, 1949 in London, KY, a son of the Alpha (Mullins) Howard and the late Ben Howard.
In addition to his father, Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah (Abernathy) Howard.
Donnie was loved by many friends in Florida, where he resided for most of his life. He enjoyed playing softball and golf. He was very talented in many ways throughout his career in carpentry. Donnie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Deanna Kay Jones, age 48, of Piqua, OH, passed away, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.
She was born Saturday, December 23, 1967 in Greenville, OH, a daughter of Rick and Kay (Myers) Jones.
Deanna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Evaline(Snyder) Myers.
Deanna worked at Versailles Health Care Center for over 20 years and was a member of the Versailles Rotary Club. She was a volleyball official for over 20 years and coached junior high basketball at Ansonia Junior High for several years. She was an avid sports fan, not only for Ansonia, but for Ohio State, Dayton Flyers, Indianapolis Colts, and Kevin Harvick. Deanna was a big supporter of organ donation and also a transplant recipient.
Deanna is survived by her parents, Rick and Kay (Myers) Jones of Ansonia, OH; one brother, Darrell (Erin) Jones of Ansonia, OH; special friend and loving caregiver, Steve Hetzler of Piqua, OH; two nieces, Amanda and Megan Jones of Ansonia, OH; paternal grandparents, Paul and Betty Jones of Versailles, OH; and her best friend, Jasper, her loving cocker spaniel.

Wayne W. Davey, age 92 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:50 AM Thursday March 31, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Wayne was born February 16, 1924 in Bremen, Ohio and the son of the late Clarence and Lelia (Harris) Davey.
He was retired from McCalls Printing Company and Regional Transit, both of Dayton and a Veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Navy. Wayne was also a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife Betty Jane Davey; his 2nd wife Barbara Lee (Hawkey) Davey; brother Tom Davey; sisters Mary Koudelka, Arlene Brandt and Martha Ulrich.
Wayne is survived by his step daughters Rhonda McFadden of Palestine, Sondra Bowling of Beavercreek, Marsha Ward of Huber Heights, Lora Maroney of New Lebanon and Amy Richards Potter of California; step son Daniel Richards of Marysville; 16 step grandchildren; multiple step great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was a homemaker.

Evelyn M. Bernholt age 89, of Versailles passed away at 11:54 P.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Versailles Health Care Center. Evelyn was born July 17, 1926 in North Star to the late Joseph F. & Bernadine A. (Rutschilling) Bernholt.
Evelyn is survived by her sisters, Jean Grilliot of Versailles and Betty Jutte of Versailles; brother & sister-in-law, Lester & Lavon Bernholt of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was born in Greenville, Ohio on May 16, 1949 to the late Junior “Monte” and Alice (Hetzler) Hale. She was preceded in death by her late husband Alvin S. Beumer. She is survived by two daughters, Tamara Husband, of Indianapolis, IN and Julie (Joel) Shiverdecker, of Charlotte, NC; two step-sons Steven (Carol), of Holland, MI and Kevin (Angela) Beumer, of Greenville, OH; grandchildren, Tanisha Afzal, Kiera Afzal, Damico Afzal, Kelly Shiverdecker, Adam Shiverdecker, Tiffany (Cody) Kester; great grandchildren, Ari, Ana, Kailyn, Kamiyah, Amari, Ja’ida, Cor’tez; brother Steven (Cynthia) Hale, sisters Connie Yoder, the late Melodie Ord. She was predeceased by her special friend Wayne Coblentz.
She was the owner of the CK Cafeteria until 1992 and then began her new career at Heartland of Greenville as a cook, CNA and then Housekeeping Director until she retired in 2010. She loved her family and enjoyed reading, playing cards, and shopping,

She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Angie & Carl Bowersock of Anna, Ohio, and Julia & Gene Porter of Morehead, Kentucky; son and daughter in law, Lee & Lora Albright II of Greenville; grandchildren, Kelsey (Neal Pangle) Bowersock, Marc Bowersock, Cameron Bowersock, Caleb Jones, Jenna Jones, Joshua Albright, Kristen Mosley, Joshua Porter and Ryan Porter; brothers and sisters in law, John & Becky Lewis of Arcanum, Ohio, and David & Anna Lewis of Wayne Lakes, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her faithful companion, bichon poodle Molly.

Joan worked at Fram and was the owner and operator of Albright’s Roast Beef before becoming a Registered Nurse and working at Delphi Truck and Bus. She was then the Director of Heartland Home Health Care. She was a 4-H Advisor for Darke County Beef Club and a member of the Swinging 8 Square Dance Club. She loved reading, painting and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. She was a 1960 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School.

David H. Allread, age 36, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on April 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1979 in Dayton, Ohio, to Connie (Varvel) Allread of Greenville, Ohio, and the late Craig Allread.
In addition to his mother David is survived by his, sisters and brothers in law, Kim & Chris Kermeen and Mindy & Derek Saylor both of Greenville; nieces, Krysten Wilson, Alexis Headley and Meghan Kermeen; nephew, Adam Kermeen; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Marilyn Eley, 88, of New Madison, passed away April 25, 2016 at The State of the Heart Hospice Care Center at Wayne Hospital in Greenville. Marilyn was born in Darke County, Ohio on October 18, 1927 to the late Orville and Vera (Eyer) Hoff.
Marilyn attended the Eldorado United Methodist Church. She was a member of the New Madison Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Post 245 Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her Husband, Donald Eley and her son, Jan Eley.

Carol loved her family and especially enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. She always encouraged her children to do their best and to inspire to be whatever your heart desired. She was very active at Dry Ridge Christian Church in Grant County, KY. Carol was a servant for God. She loved our Lord and to sing His praises.

James A. Conner, age 78, of Greenville, OH, passed away, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Brethren Home in Greenville, OH.
He was born Tuesday, February 15, 1938 in Dayton, OH, a son of the late Esther Broughman.
James was retired from Rogers Feed and Grain. He was an active member of the Pitsburg, Ohio Lions Club for almost 50 years, up until his death. Jim and Phyllis were heavily involved with the Stillwater Center in Englewood, OH. They orchestrated an annual car show, beginning in 2003, to help provide the equipment needed to improve the quality of life for the severely handicapped residence residing at the center. His greatest joy was his family and grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Phyllis Conner; his children and their spouses, Jerry and Robin Coffield of Englewood, OH, Carrie and Dave Sharp of Greenville, OH, Heidi and Jeff Wolfe of Greenville, OH, Teri Conner of TX, and Jackie Andrews of FL; James is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.

He was born Tuesday, February 15, 1938 in Dayton, OH, a son of the late Esther Broughman.
James was retired from Rogers Feed and Grain. He was an active member of the Pitsburg, Ohio Lions Club for almost 50 years, up until his death. Jim and Phyllis were heavily involved with the Stillwater Center in Englewood, OH. They orchestrated an annual car show, beginning in 2003, to help provide the equipment needed to improve the quality of life for the severely handicapped residence residing at the center. His greatest joy was his family and grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Phyllis Conner; his children and their spouses, Jerry and Robin Coffield of Englewood, OH, Carrie and Dave Sharp of Greenville, OH, Heidi and Jeff Wolfe of Greenville, OH, Teri Conner of TX, and Jackie Andrews of FL; James is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Chaplin Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Lions Club will hold a service Wednesday at 6:45 PM.

Lonas “Von” L. Spitzer (April 23, 2016)
Lonas “Von” L. Spitzer, 89 of Versailles, Ohio passed away on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 8:50 AM at his residence. He was born February 19, 1927 in West Bourne, Tennessee the son of the late Ralph & Chloe (Broyles) Spitzer. He served in the United States Army in World War II. He retired from Sheller Globe in March of 1989 after 29 years.
He was a member of Versailles United Methodist Church; Gettysburg Masonic Lodge # 477; Versailles V.F.W.; charter member of Stillwater Golf Club; had an honorary chair at the Sweet Shop; he loved his family and the outdoors; he also loved playing golf and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Donald Spitzer; sister: Gladys Spitzer.
He is survived by his wife: Ruth A. (Bowers) Spitzer of Versailles; sons & daughters in law: Ronnie & Sandy Spitzer of Lake City, Tennessee, Billie & Linda Spitzer of Clinton, Tennessee; daughters & sons in law: Cathy Spitzer of Lake City, Tennessee, Tammy & Ben Curtis of Beavercreek, Misty Wray of Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers & sisters & their spouses: Reba J. & Chester Richmond of McMinnville, Tennessee, Donald Spitzer of Sumter, South Carolina, Nell Rose Smith of Union City, Indiana, Shelvia Jean & Norman Mock of Union City, Indiana, Keith & Shirley Spitzer of Versailles, Ken & Joyce Spitzer of Versailles, Errol & Linda Spitzer of McMinnville, Tennessee; numerous nieces & nephews.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, LaFollette, Tennessee. Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. A masonic memorial service will be conducted by the Gettysburg Masonic Lodge at 6:45 PM on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.

Mary Ann Heitkamp, age 90 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Thursday April 21, 2016 at 1:04 AM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center, Greenville. She was born January 16, 1926, in Ft. Loramie, to the late Fred & Cecelia (Dirksen) Hilgefort. On June 9, 1948, she married Jerome (Jerry) Heitkamp who died on October 26, 2011. She is survived by nine children: Theresa & Michael Fullenkamp of Ft. Recovery, Carol & Carl Evers of St. Henry, Barb & Bruce Batty of Tipp City, Diana & David Hartke of Coldwater, Linda & Dale Fleck of New Bremen, Leo & Kathy Heitkamp, Rick & Margie Heitkamp, Gary & Denise Heitkamp, and Jerry Heitkamp all of Versailles, 31 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; sisters Verona Boecker of Minster, Rosemary Heitkamp of McCartyville, Louise Homan of Maria Stein, and brothers & sister-in-law Robert Hilgefort of Sidney, Louis & Phyllis Hilgefort of Ft. Loramie; in-laws, Anna Marie Dircksen of Minster, Luella Rindler of McCartyville, Marietta Monnin of McCartyville, Othmar & Pat Heitkamp of Maria Stein, Melvin Rindler of Celina, George Kahlig of Coldwater and Rosie Heitkamp of Coldwater.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown. She was guided by her faith, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
