He was retired from McCalls Printing Company and Regional Transit, both of Dayton and a Veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Navy. Wayne was also a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife Betty Jane Davey; his 2nd wife Barbara Lee (Hawkey) Davey; brother Tom Davey; sisters Mary Koudelka, Arlene Brandt and Martha Ulrich.
Wayne is survived by his step daughters Rhonda McFadden of Palestine, Sondra Bowling of Beavercreek, Marsha Ward of Huber Heights, Lora Maroney of New Lebanon and Amy Richards Potter of California; step son Daniel Richards of Marysville; 16 step grandchildren; multiple step great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday May 14, 2016 in the Oak Grove Cemetery Ft. Jefferson, Ohio with Pastor Elwood Stuart officiating and Military Honors conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. There will be no visitation.
