Alice J. Richardson,73, of Greenville passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville.
She was born November 11, 1936 in Darke County, daughter of the late Robert G. and Doris E. (Riggs) Weaver.
Alice had retired October 31, 1998 from United Telephone where she had worked as an operator for 35 years and then spent 13 years as a switchboard operator for the Brethren Retirement Community. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ronald D. Richardson, whom she married July 7, 1962; her children, Tammy (Marty) Grow and Dean (Tracey) Richardson; grandchildren, Melissa (Richard) Miller, Dustin and Nicholas Grow, Alicia (Andrew) Davidson, Ashley and Alison Richardson; great grandchildren, Brittany and Taylor Miller, Ashton Grow, Elijah Shumacher, Natea, Caydance, Ainsleigh and Rielynn Davidson; and brothers, Garry (Sue) Weaver, Sr. and Dan (Kathy) Weaver.
Services will be held Monday, September 13 at 2 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12 p.m. till 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial Contributions be given to the St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund or Youth Fund.
