Norman "Bud" Harrison (August 31, 2010)

Norman “Bud” Harrison, age 71 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 10:15 PM at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio. He was born on July 8, 1939 in Bradford, Ohio to the late Homer and Hilda (Minnich) Harrison.

Norman retired from Cranes Pumps in Piqua and was a member of the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Ansonia American Legion for 26 years, loved racing, NASCAR, fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle and really enjoyed being with his family.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Harrison.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers in law, Linda & Max Subler of Ansonia, Ohio, Hilda and Ed Silvers of Piqua, Ohio, and Marilyn and Benny Powers of Hamilton, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Mike Brown, Dan Brown, Leslie Wentworth, Tammy Morrison, Larry Silvers, Todd Silvers, Lisa Silvers, Bill Powers, Melissa Bouchair, Jamie Powers, Ronnie Harrison, Brenda Pigg, Jeff Harrison, and Dave Harrison; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

There will be a service held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio with Pastor Phillip P. De Lorme officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

There will be a Graveside Military Service conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard. It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the State of the Heart Hospice.
