James S. Saum (August 31, 2010)

Mr. James Stuart Saum, age 85 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday August 31, 2010 at 10:17 AM at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born September 20, 1924 in St. Mary’s, Ohio the son of the late Stewart and Edna (Schult) Saum. He served in the United States Army and was retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose # 329 Greenville, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Brother: Bill Saum

He is survived by his Wife: Maureen (Lyons) Saum of Greenville whom he married April 6, 1979; Step Son and daughter in law: Steven and Beth Snyder of Greenville; Step daughters and sons in law: Carol and Jason Kunkle of Greenville, Carmen and James Dumas of Greenville; Step grandchildren: Heather Skidmore of Cincinnati, Austin Root of Greenville, Cameron Kunkle of Greenville, Stephanie Dumas of Nashville, Stephen Dumas of Greenville, Elizabeth Dumas of Greenville, Makiah Wilson of Greenville, Holly Snyder of Greenville, Joseph Snyder of Greenville.

Services will be held on Friday September 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Elwood Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Jefferson, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday September 2, 2010 at the funeral home. A Moose Lodge of Sorrow will be conducted by the Greenville Loyal Order of Moose # 329 at 6:45 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Veteran’s graveside services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be given to Mooseheart.
