Marjorie I. Rehmert, 92, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Rest Haven in Greenville.
She was born January 5, 1925, in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of the late James and Esther (Hufnagle) Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Rehmert whom she married April 20,1946; her son, Byron D. "Barney" Rehmert; and her brother, James Davis.
Marjorie was a 1943 graduate of Greenville High School, a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenville, a 50 plus year member of the Greenville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and a life member of the Greenville Alumni Association. Marjorie was a secretary at North Elementary School, South Elementary School and then retired from East Elementary School in 1988. Most of all Marjorie enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Chris (Peggy) Rehmert, Kent (Beth) Rehmert, Barb (Bob) Wert, all of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Sandy Rehmert of Greenville; her grandchildren, Krista Rehmert, Julie Horzsa, Daryl Rehmert, Brian (Angie) Rehmert, Ashley (Clinton) Sharp, Philip (Jackie) Rehmert. Kent Rehmert, Jr.; her step grandchildren; Michelle Palmer-Clark, Tiffany (Josh) Thompson, David (Jessica) Williams, Dan (Jenny) Williams, and Eric (Jessica) Williams; 29 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Greenville, with Rev. Dr. David Hawley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden.
Friends may visit Monday, December 11, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
