Von D. Henninger (April 24, 2021)

Von D. Henninger, age 93 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 4:15 PM Saturday April 24, 2021 at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.  Von was born March 26, 1928 in Monroe Township Darke County Ohio and the son of the late John and Stella (Everding) Henninger.

He was retired from Delco Products where he had been employed as an experimental model builder.  Von was an active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Greenville and had taught Sunday school for many years.  Also, a Lifetime member of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International and in his younger years had been very active with Boy Scouts of America serving in several positions and offices.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis A. (Blumenstock) Henninger April 15, 2004.  He married Phyllis his high school sweetheart November 22, 1946.  Also sons and daughter-in-law John D. and Lynn Henninger, and George Henninger; special friend Gloria Hamilton; brother Joseph Henninger; half-brother Ora Henninger and sisters  Naomi Roan and Dorothy White.

Von is survived by his son Steven C. Henninger of Greenville,  daughters and son-in-law Susan D. and Lee Roy Spurlock of Greenville, Sharon Lingle of Greenville, grandchildren Carl (Erica) Henninger, Charles (Misty) Henninger, Joshua Henninger, Stanley (Kathy Lovejoy) Grillot, Susan (Rock) Parkman, Angela (Larry) Eikenbery, Eric (Tonia) Pfoutz, Jason (Kelsey) Pfoutz, Roni (Travis Allen) Spurlock, Bryan (Becky) Hicks and DeDe (Chuck) Hicks: 27 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces,  nephews and cousins.

Public Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday June 26, 2021 in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery 7418  State Route 121-North Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Rock Parkman officiating.   

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the EverHeart Hospice 1350 N. Broadway Greenville, Ohio.
