Regina T. “Jean” Geiger, age 92 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday June 28, 2009 at the Alterra Sterling House, Greenville, Ohio. She was born on February 6, 1917 the daughter of the late Thomas C. & Della (Bowman) Troutman. She was Bookkeeper/Office Manager for Printing Service Company in Dayton. She was WAC serving in World War II.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Raymond C. Geiger, Sisters: Leola Edger, & Neva Brining.
She is survived by her Nieces & spouses: Mary Ann & Ron VanVickle of Greenville, & Carol & Clyde Landis of Greenville; Great Nephews & spouses: Joe & Cheryl VanVickle, Jim & Jennifer VanVickle, Phil & Mary Landis, John & April Landis,; Great Niece & spouse: Leann & Steve Schlamb; Great Great Nephews: Zachary VanVickle, Patrick Schlamb, Nicolas Schlamb, Connor VanVickle; Step Son: Raymond C. Joe Supinger (April 23, 1923 - June 27, 2009)
Dad is asleep in the arms of the Lord. Joe Supinger age 86 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday June 27, 2009 at 11:45 AM at the Brethren Retirement Community. He was born April 23, 1923 in Covington, Ohio the son of the late Jonas R. & Ida Mae (McConnel) Supinger. He worked at Hobart in troy for 37 ½ years retiring in 1984, He also worked for 6 years at Wal Mart.
He entered the Army in June of 1940 serving in World War II in the 1st Armored Division 7th Calvary then he transferred to the 4th Armored Division. He received 2 Purple Hearts and 1 Bronze Star for Bravery. He ended his military career in October of 1945.
He is a member of the Greenville Missionary Church, and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Brothers: Gene, Gerald, Carl, & Roscoe Supinger; Sister: Miriam Huffman.
He is survived by his wife Treva (Shumaker) Supinger of Greenville whom he would have been married to for 67 years on July 14; Children and spouses: Sonja & Dan Coppess of Greenville, Larry & Jeanette Supinger of Greenville, Onda & Jack Gibboney of Michigan; Grandchildren: Jackie Francis, Monty & Jennifer Coppess, Michelle Coppess, Don Shuff & Dawn Elliot, Lon Arnett, Tammy & Ted Royster, Tassy and David Miller, L. Mary Lee Ogle, 64, of Arcanum, died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. Mrs. Ogle was born in Troy on September 7, 1944, the daughter of the late Henry M. and Anna Lee (Lippincott) Allen. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pitsburg and Order of Eastern Star, Arcanum. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and son Paul Ogle. She is survived by her husband Harry E. Ogle, whom she married September 10, 1963; daughters Sandy (Neville) Hughart of Englewood and Lisa A. Mary E. Poling age 91 of Versailles, Ohio, died at 4:17 A.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Versailles Health Care Center. Mary was born March 25, 1918 in Union City, Indiana, to the late Samuel W. & Minnie Ann (Betz) Crowell.
Mary formerly worked at Ball Brothers Glass and Excel Manufacturing in Muncie. Mary was a 50 year plus member of the Eastern Star in Muncie, Indiana. She was also a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge in Muncie, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Mary is also preceded in death by a great great grandson, Justin Clark; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Martha was a homemaker and formerly worked at Buckeye Overall Company in Versailles. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and Fleur-De-Lis of Versailles.
In addition to her parents, Martha is also preceded in death by her husband, Lowell F. “Hen” Barga on November 8, 1995; son, Jacque J. Barga; great grandsons, Doug and Christopher Condon; brothers, Clarence, Leonard and Bernard Didier; and sisters, Stella Osterloh, Josephine Huelskamp, Myrtle Byers and Wilma Wirrig.

Robert J. Honeyman (September 24, 1930 - June 22, 2009)
Mr. Robert J. Honeyman, age 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 5:48 P.M. Monday June 22, 2009 in the emergency room of Wayne Hospital. Bob was born September 24, 1930 in Montgomery County, Ohio. He was the son of the late Robert Lee & Dorothy M. (Myers) Honeyman.
He retired in October of 1992 from the Ohio Department of Transportation where he had been employed for 23 years. He had also farmed for many years in the Van Buren Township area of Darke County.

Barry Wesley McLear (March 30, 1944 - June 23, 2009)
Barry Wesley McLear, 65, of rural New Madison, passed away unexpectedly June 23,2009 at Reid Hospital. Barry was born March 30, 1944 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Chelsie & and Elnora ”Ellie” (Hoggatt) McLear-Young. Barry grew up in the Ansonia Area and graduated from Greenville Senior High in 1962 and had also taken machinist training. He worked as a machinist, a salesman, and lab work at Cadalliac Gauge for 30 years. He also was a metal detector dealer for 36 years. Barry was a member of the American Motorist Club and the Rock and Gem Club in Richmond. Barry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn (Downing) McLear: two sons, Benjamin Wesley (Tracy) McLear of New Madison and Caton Bradley and (Teresa) McLear of New Madison; one daughter Elizabeth Juliann “Julie” (Steve) McLear-White of New Madison ;three grandsons, Dagen Chelsie Wayne White, William Joseph Wayne White, and Wesley Gale McLear; three step-grandchildren Layton, Cheyenne and Nadayo White;two brothers Larry (Carol) McLear of Arcanum and James “Jim” (Margie) of Greenville; one sister –in-law Marilyn (Douglas)Jenkins of Hollansburg; five nieces ; one nephew; several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.and the family of Walter Wayne Young. Harold A. Pickett (June 24, 2009)
Harold A. Pickett, 96, died June 24 at Hospice of Dayton. Since 2000, he lived at the Brethren's Retirement Community in Greenville. He was born Jan. 1, 1913, near the hamlet of Cosmos in Darke County, the second son of Benjamin H. and Edna (Study) Pickett. He was a 1930 graduate of Jackson Township High School (now Mississinawa Valley).
Following his graduation and a short venture with an advertising firm in New York City, he began his industrial career as a tool and pattern-maker at the Union City (Ind.) Body Co., where he became superintendent and plant manager during and after World War II. Later, he served for 15 years as supervisor of engineering at Avco-New Idea in Coldwater. Thereafter, he was named plant manager of Pax Corp., then plant manager of Ley Equipment Co. in Van Wert, from which he retired in 1974. He managed a nursery business near Union City, which he and his late wife, Genevieve, started in 1952.
In 1978, they sold the nursery to an employee and moved to New Paris. There, Harold started a different career as a college instructor. He earned college degrees through home study in industrial engineering and law and received an LL.B. degree in 1944. He taught in Richmond and Fort Wayne, Ind., for 12 years, retiring in 1989.
Through his industrial and teaching career, Harold gained recognition as a poet and public speaker, accumulating nearly 3,000 speaking engagements throughout Ohio, Indiana and adjoining states. His poems, most written under the pen name of "Slim Acres," and articles appeared regularly in 18 newspapers and magazines over a 40-year period. Harold also was active in political and civic affairs, serving as a charter member and president of Union City Kiwanis and, 40 years later, president of the New Paris Kiwanis. In 1988, he was awarded the Distinguished President citation by Kiwanis International. He was a past master of the Ansonia Masonic Lodge, which later merged with the Versailles Lodge. In addition, he was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.
In 1936, he married the former Genevieve Jamison, who died in 2000. Subsequently, he married the former Mary Stover of Bradford, who died in 2004. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, who died in infancy; Paul and Forrest; and two infant daughters. He is survived by one daughter, Ramonda (Jack) Ryan of Niles, Ohio; four sisters, Irene Greenstein of Winterhaven, Fla., Florence Teegarden and Olive Alspach of Greenville, and Mary Newnam of Kettering; a brother, Robert, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a stepson, Max (Judy) Stover of Bradford; and 15 grand, great-grand and step-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Friday, June 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chapel of The Brethren's Retirement Community in Greenville, and services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Jericho Friends Cemetery near Winchester, Ind.

Mary Jane Brown (June 19, 2009)
Mary Jane Brown, 84, of Greenville and formerly of New Weston, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
She was born in Warren, OH, daughter of the late Harley William and Mabel Vera (Croghan) Blood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Brown on January 23, 1993; and her brother, William Blood.
Mary Jane had worked as a secretary for Lambert's in Ansonia before retiring from New Weston Farm Center. She had attended the Ansonia Christian Church.

Services will be held at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville on Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Bob Bitner officiating. Burial will follow in the Ansonia Cemetery.

Jonathan Robert Kinnison, 10, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 9:27 PM at Children’s Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio. He was born on August 22, 1998 in Greenville, Ohio to Brian & Tiffany (Davis) Kinnison of Greenville, Ohio.
Jonathan was a student at Tri Village School. He loved to ride bikes, take care of his chickens, play video games and work on tractors with his dad.
He is preceded in death by; grandfather, John R. Kinnison; and Great Grandfather, Robert Spurlock.

Mary I. (Weaver) Flory, 95, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 8:35 AM at the Versailles Health Care Center, Versailles, Ohio. She was born on June 14, 1913 in Darke County, Ohio to the late I. Wesley “Wes” and Mary Anna “Molly” (Wetzel) Weaver.
Mary owned Villa Cerise in St. Mary’s, Ohio and then retired from the Wagon Wheel Restaurant after 17 years.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville and the Eagles Lodge in Versailles. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Clay Weaver and sister Goldie Sargent.
Mary is survived by; nephew, Edward & Elizabeth Weaver of Versailles, Ohio; niece, Virginia & Herman Smith of Versailles as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

Grant Lee Malone (April 29, 1917 - June 15, 2009)
Grant Lee Malone, age 92, went to be with his wife, Bobbie, and with his Lord on June 15, 2009 at Reid Hospital, where he had been a patient for ten days. He was born in Lucasville, Ohio on April 29, 1917, the son of the late Walter Everrett and Blanche (Dill) Malone and had lived in the local area for over 35 years having moved here from Lucasville, Ohio. Grant was commonly known as “Mr. Buckey” and “Chicken Man” due to his passing out Buckeyes to all he met and his love for poultry and water fowl. He was a well known poultry judge having judged in the United States, Canada and Bermuda since 1957. He was a member of the New Madison United Methodist Church, and the New Madison Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Assn., the American Bantham Assn., former President of the American Bantham Assn., former District Director of the Ohio Jersey Cattle Club, life member of the Duroc Swine Assn., a member of the Lucasville Masonic Lodge 4261 F & AM, a 4-H Club Director for 25 years and served on the Hocking County Fair Board for 10 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Tri-Village Patriot teams.
Grant was a well-known Livestock Feed salesman in the local area and worked for the Storch Braund Funeral Home for over 18 years, retiring in 1998. He was also well known for his gardening skills.
Grant is survived by two sons, Joseph Lee Malone and wife Jo Ann of Lancaster, Ohio and Frederick Grant Malone and wife Terri of Marion, Ohio; three grandchildren, Sean and wife Sue Malone, Kelly Jo and husband Tom Barnhart, and Robert and wife Brittany Malone; six great-grandchildren, Morgan and Austin Barnhart and Sydney, Patrick, Aidan and Cameron Malone; a brother, Walter Malone, Jr. of Indiana and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, especially close friends, Keith and Arlene Hicks and Jane and Delbert Braund.

James T. Andrews (June 10, 2009)
Mr. James T. Andrews, 82, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 5:30 PM at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1926 in Siler City, North Carolina to the late Tom & Ava (Maness) Andrews.
James retired in 1988 from General Athletics. He was a member of the United States Army serving in WWII. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Loyal Order of Moose, VFW and American Legion. James loved to go fishing, camping and collecting coins. James also volunteered for the Youth for Christ when he was younger.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Weldon Andrews and sister Irene Fagg.
He is survived by; wife, Elizabeth (Miller) Andrews of Greenville, Ohio whom he married on November 10, 1951; daughter and son in law, Cathy & Paul Detrick of Greenville; grandson, Chase P. Detrick; sisters, Myrtle Switzer of Maryland and Dorothy Hall of North Carolina; sister in law, Shirley Carnahan of Greenville; brother in law, John Miller of Beavercreek, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a service held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with the Rev. John Nunnally officiating. Harold R. Beasley, 93, of Greenville, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 11, 2009 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
He was born in Hamburg, Preble County, Ohio, son of the late Oscar and Sarah (Shahan) Beasley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet J. (Spencer) Beasley who passed away May 26, 2001; a son, Wayne Lee Beasley; and two brothers, Ralph and Walter Beasley.
Harold had worked as an industrial electrician for Dayton Steel and later for Fram/Allied Signal in Greenville from where he retired. His passion was cars and he had owned and operated Beasley's Auto Electric for several years.
He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Greenville and had attended on occasion the Grace Bible Church near Springfield.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Gary Harpel of Englewood.

Mr. Kenneth R. Besecker, age 95 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 11:38 P.M. Sunday June 7, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 16, l914 in Franklin Township Darke County Ohio, son of the late Charles L. & Dollie (Wintrow) Besecker. Kenneth retired in 1974 from the N.C.R. Corporation of Dayton and following his retirement worked for many years as a security guard at numerous other businesses in the area. Kenneth enjoyed working, his family and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters—Mary Baker and Zelma Leonard. Also 2 brothers—Edward and Paul Besecker. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Ella C. (Wade) Besecker of Greenville. They were married September 27, l946. John was a 1934 graduate of Columbia University with a B.A. Degree in Business. Following college, he spent several years in department store management before transferring to Logansport, Indiana in 1947. While residing in Logansport, he became a Life Insurance Agent for the Prudential Life Insurance Company retiring in 1976. He was a longtime member of the Logansport Rotary Club and an avid golfer. During his high school years in New York he was the New York City Junior Golf Champion. John was also a member of the Christian Science Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (Capron) Schmidt in 1983. Also a very special friend Georgia Littman.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law: Joan & Richard Mote of Union City, Indiana; son and daughter in law: Henry Capron & Linda Schmidt of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren: Timothy Schmidt, Susan Schmidt, Eric Schmidt, Keith Mote, Miranda Wallick and Molly Mote. Also 6 great grandchildren.

Cheryl L. Cook, 45, of Arcanum, died Wednesday morning, June 10, 2009 at her residence. Cheryl was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 16, 1963, the daughter of the late Robert D. and Barbara (Moore) Flory who survives. She was employed by the NK Parts Industries, Sidney. Cheryl was a 1982 graduate of Arcanum High School. She was always happy, fun loving, smiling, and cheerful. She left us too early. Cheryl is survived by her husband Duane Cook, Jr.; proud Mother of Casey Cook and Dalton Cook of Piqua and Justin Cook of Arcanum. Also surviving Mother Barbara Flory of Arcanum; sisters Terri Hayes and husband Michael of Arcanum and Carol Flory and partner Pete Waltz of Dayton; brothers David Flory of West Alexandria and Doug Flory and wife Brenda of Greenville; and numerous other relatives. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Pastor Jim Miller officiating. Albert L. Baker (September 7, 1927 - June 9, 2009)
Albert L. Baker, 81, of Arcanum, died early Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Baker was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 7, 1927, the son of the late Albert and Mildred (Higgins) Baker. He was a member of Lighthouse Christian Center, Greenville; and a member of the Masonic Lodge #295, Arcanum and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Albert was a Tool and Die maker at Inland Manufacturing Dayton, retiring in 1987. Albert was preceded in death by his first wife Donna (Newell) Baker, who died August 27, 1971, daughter Kathy Cates Funk, infant son Robert Baker, grandson Kenny Cates, granddaughter infant Angel Cates, 2 brothers Frank and Jerry Baker, and 2 sisters June Frazier and Eileen Denny. He is survived by his wife Barbara (McClelland) Baker whom he married March 18, 1972; sons Albert Baker Jr. and wife Janie of Clayton, Mike Baker and wife Joann of Jacksonville, FL, Gary and Dee Baker of Greenville, Jeff Baker and wife Jodi of Jacksonville, FL; daughters Laura Reed and husband Chad of Old Town, FL, Melissa Morrison and husband Eddie of Rossburg; 25 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; sisters Joan Warner of Georgia and Coleen McKivergin of Florida; brother Dwight Baker and wife Jodi of Colorado. Richard "Dick" D. Long (April 22, 1930 - June 7, 2009)
Richard D. "Dick" Long, 79, of Arcanum, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Alterra Sterling House, Greenville. Mr. Long was born in Pitsburg, Ohio on April 22, 1930, the son of the late Dwight M. and Edith (Kraus) Long. Dick was the owner of the former Long Furniture, Pitsburg and a broker/owner of Dick Long Realty, Arcanum retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, and the Antioch Shrine Club. Dick was a former member of the Dayton Area and Darke County Board of Realtors and a former member of the Pitsburg Lions Club. He is survived by his wife Nila Jane (Blumenstock) Long whom he married May 5, 1951; 2 daughters Nancy Shiffler and husband Bob of Dayton and Lisa Bixler and husband Brad of Arcanum; 4 Sons Scott Long and wife Susie of Arizona, Doug Long of Pitsburg, Curt Long and wife Diane of Arcanum, and David Long of Brookville; Grandchildren Amanda Paduchik and husband Robert, Holly Cotner and husband Craig, Marcus Bixler, Gavin Bixler, Daniel Long, Zack Long, Elizabeth Long, Josh Long, Brooke Long, Michael Long, Mallory Long, and Aaren Shiffler; Great Grandchildren Elaina Paduchik, Larissa Paduchik, Max Cotner, and Jack Cotner; 2 sisters Jo Ann Coleman and Peggy Corder both of Arizona; brother Donald Long and wife Ann Marie of Arizona; Step Mother Lois Kimmel Long of Englewood. Janet (Reed) Neel age 74 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at The Tippett Hospice House in Needham, Massachusetts. She was born January 31, 1935.
She was the daughter of the late Robert J. Reed and Ruth (Warner) Reed. Janet was a retired school bus driver for Greenville city schools and a former employee at Corning.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph D Neel; and sisters: twin sister Joyce Reed, Leona (Reed) York, & Juanita (Reed) Nethken.

John Elwood Burns (September 23, 1931 - June 4, 2009)
John Elwood Burns age 77 of Greenville died at 9:10 A.M. on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Versailles Health Care Center. John was born September 23, 1931 in Frederick County, Maryland, to the late Joseph Burns & Mary Catherine (Eiler) Roper.
John served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1960. He retired from Sprint Telephone Company in Greenville with 29 years of service. John graduated from Piqua High School in 1950. He attended Parks College (part of the University of St. Louis). John was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenville. He was also a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge No. 143 F & AM; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; and the Greenville Lions Club.
In addition to his parents, John is also preceded in death by a son, Matthew John Burns; and a sister, Margaret Ruth (Burns) Wale.
John is survived by his wife, Florene L. (Bowser) Burns; son, Mark Anthony Burns of Greenville; daughter, Heather Renee Weaver of Greenville; grandchildren, Anastacia Marie Reier, Octavia Nicole Reier, Kara Renee Reier, and James Dale Weaver.

Don retired from the Lewisburg Container where he was a Production Manager. He was a member of the United States Army, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Greenville Country Club, American Legion and the Eagles.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Diane Cain whom he married on July 8, 1950.

Wayne L. Roll age 85 of Greenville & formerly of Versailles, died at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. Wayne was born August 25, 1923 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Lorenzo O. & Cora E. (Lehman) Roll.
Wayne owned & operated Roll Turkey Farm in Versailles until his retirement. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is also preceded in death by his wife, Lois E. (Rhoades) Roll on October 31, 2007; and a son, James Roll.
Wayne is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Larry & Joan Roll of Versailles, daughters, Janet Heft of Versailles and Linda Ford of Springboro.; 13 grandchildren,; 23 great grandchildren; and a sister & brother-in-law, Wanda & Arthur Keighley of Dayton.

George A. Schieltz (October 21, 1923 - May 29, 2009)
George A. Schieltz age 85 of Versailles, Ohio died at 3:31 P.M. on Friday, May 29, 2009 at his residence. George was born October 21, 1923 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Louis & Ursula (Barga) Schieltz.
George was a machinist at Monarch Machine Tool Company in Sidney for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a motor machinist’s mate 3rd class from 1943 to 1946. He was stationed in New Caledonia in the South Pacific. He later became a plank man on the U.S.S. Fall River. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles.
In addition to his parents, George is also preceded in death by his brothers, Vitalis Henry, Herman, Raymond, Leo, Robert and Thomas Schieltz; and sisters, Cora Boyer and Sister Esther Schieltz C.P.P.S.
George is survived by his wife, Ruth C. (Wagner) Schieltz, whom he married July 29, 1950. He is also survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Mark & Roseann Schieltz of Greenville, Kevin Schieltz of Greenville and Brice & Dyann Schieltz of Bloomington, Illinois; daughter, Regina Schieltz of Greenville; grandchildren, Stephanie Schieltz of Greenville, Katherine Schieltz and Alexander Schieltz of Bloomington, Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles, with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Darke County Right to Life.

Emily Lucille Harris, 88, formerly of Hollansburg, passed away Saturday morning, May 30, 2009 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
She was born in Jackson Township, Darke County, daughter of the late Alfred and Cora (Oliver) Brewer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman A. Harris; four brothers, Wayne, Melvin, Ralph and Reuben Brewer; and three sisters, Edith Miller, Edna Hoggatt and Esther Oswald.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Hollansburg Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her children, Kyle (Debbie) Harris of East Lansing, MI, Elaine (Alan) Bradley of Lima, OH, and Keith (Krissi) Harris of New Madison; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Brewer of Union City, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at the Hollansburg Christian Church with the Rev. Joe Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollansburg Cemetery.

She was born in Darke County, daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Ross) Hoschouer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin Hesson; second husband, Curt Fields; a brother, Dale Hoschouer; and a sister, Janice Fields.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Tim Larger) Nixon of Versailles, Franklin, III "Phil" (Betsy) Hesson of Greenville; Karen (Michael) Hecht of Celina; Janet (Tom) Rieman of Rossburg; Bruce (Cheryl) Hesson of Oxford, OH; step children, Curt (Tina) Fields of Bath, IN; Greg (Cindy) Fields of Hamilton, OH; and Melissa Egersdorfer of North Canton, OH; 23 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; brothers, Duane (Barb) Hoschouer of Greenville and Keith (Karan) Hoschouer of Clinton, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

True D. Westfall, 83, of Greenville, died early Sunday morning, May 31, 2009 at Heartland of Greenville. Mr. Westfall was born in Pitsburg, Ohio on August 19, 1925, the son of the late John and Mae (Marshall) Westfall. He was a builder for Bill Longenecker, and True Westfall Builders, and retiring from the R. O. Binson Construction Company, Dayton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WW II and a member of the VFW and American Legion, Greenville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis (Kress) Westfall, who died February 28, 2008, sister Catherine Richter, and 2 brothers Norval Westfall and LG Westfall. True is survived by 3 daughters Sandra Weaver and husband Halley of Mansfield, Nancy Gallehue and husband Jim of Edon, Ohio, and Melinda Wissel of Troy; son Michael Westfall and wife Vickie of Cincinnati; Grandchildren Chad Weaver and wife Stacey, Jeremy Weaver and wife Lisa, John Gallehue and wife Chandra, Jamie Gallehue, Nick Westfall and wife Kelly, Ben Westfall, and Bryon Wissel; 9 Great Grandchildren; and sister-in-law Jane Westfall of Covington. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Rev Samuel Hoeflich officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg where the Greenville Honor Guard will conduct veterans services. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 5 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
