Mr. Robert J. Honeyman, age 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 5:48 P.M. Monday June 22, 2009 in the emergency room of Wayne Hospital. Bob was born September 24, 1930 in Montgomery County, Ohio. He was the son of the late Robert Lee & Dorothy M. (Myers) Honeyman.
He retired in October of 1992 from the Ohio Department of Transportation where he had been employed for 23 years. He had also farmed for many years in the Van Buren Township area of Darke County.
He was a member of the Potsdam Church of the Brethren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Benjamin Honeyman in 1994.
Bob is survived by his wife Judy (Rex) Honeyman of Greenville. They were married October 8, 1949. Also by sons and daughters in law—Rick & Teresa Honeyman of Greenville and Robert Kirk & Laura Honeyman of Lebanon, Tenn. Also a daughter—Pam Lani Honeyman of Brookville, Ohio. Grandchildren—Ryan E. Honeyman, Amy J. Honeyman and R. Kody Honeyman. Great Granddaughter—Emily Tucker. Sisters and brother in law—Betty Blessing of Zephyrhills, Fla., Karen & Chris Van Schaik of Indian Lake, Ohio. Brother and sisters in law—Ned & Becky Honeyman of West Milton and Debbie Honeyman of Columbus, Ohio. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday June 29, 2009 in the Potsdam Church of the Brethren 22 East Cross Street, Potsdam, Ohio with the Rev. Bob Kurtz officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Potsdam Church of the Brethren or the Arcanum Rescue Squad.
