Albert L. Baker, 81, of Arcanum, died early Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Baker was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 7, 1927, the son of the late Albert and Mildred (Higgins) Baker. He was a member of Lighthouse Christian Center, Greenville; and a member of the Masonic Lodge #295, Arcanum and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Albert was a Tool and Die maker at Inland Manufacturing Dayton, retiring in 1987. Albert was preceded in death by his first wife Donna (Newell) Baker, who died August 27, 1971, daughter Kathy Cates Funk, infant son Robert Baker, grandson Kenny Cates, granddaughter infant Angel Cates, 2 brothers Frank and Jerry Baker, and 2 sisters June Frazier and Eileen Denny. He is survived by his wife Barbara (McClelland) Baker whom he married March 18, 1972; sons Albert Baker Jr. and wife Janie of Clayton, Mike Baker and wife Joann of Jacksonville, FL, Gary and Dee Baker of Greenville, Jeff Baker and wife Jodi of Jacksonville, FL; daughters Laura Reed and husband Chad of Old Town, FL, Melissa Morrison and husband Eddie of Rossburg; 25 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; sisters Joan Warner of Georgia and Coleen McKivergin of Florida; brother Dwight Baker and wife Jodi of Colorado. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Rev Hershel Fee officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
