Mary Jane Brown, 84, of Greenville and formerly of New Weston, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
She was born in Warren, OH, daughter of the late Harley William and Mabel Vera (Croghan) Blood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Brown on January 23, 1993; and her brother, William Blood.
Mary Jane had worked as a secretary for Lambert's in Ansonia before retiring from New Weston Farm Center. She had attended the Ansonia Christian Church.
She is survived by her children, William C. (Linda) Brown of Rossburg; Tim (Sue) Brown of Coldwater and Jon (Pam) Brown of Monument, CO. grandchildren, Travis (Lisa) Brown of Rossburg, Greg (Stacey) Brown of New Weston, Mike (Trisha) Brown of Rossburg, Karla Brown of Kettering, Shari (Dave) Langenkamp of New Weston; a step grandson, Glen (Ohia) Hughes of Vail, CO; great grandchildren, Garrett, Emma, Natalie, Tony and Deanna Brown, Andrew Langenkamp; and Step great grandchildren, Destini and Hope Hughes.
Services will be held at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville on Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Bob Bitner officiating. Burial will follow in the Ansonia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m till time of services at 11 a.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given the Resident's Aid Fund at the Brethren Retirement Community.
