Harold R. Beasley, 93, of Greenville, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 11, 2009 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
He was born in Hamburg, Preble County, Ohio, son of the late Oscar and Sarah (Shahan) Beasley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet J. (Spencer) Beasley who passed away May 26, 2001; a son, Wayne Lee Beasley; and two brothers, Ralph and Walter Beasley.
Harold had worked as an industrial electrician for Dayton Steel and later for Fram/Allied Signal in Greenville from where he retired. His passion was cars and he had owned and operated Beasley's Auto Electric for several years.
He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Greenville and had attended on occasion the Grace Bible Church near Springfield.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Gary Harpel of Englewood.
Services will be held Monday, June 15 at 2 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Marvin Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12 p.m. till time of services at 2 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice in Greenville.
