Mrs. Marietta L. Diller-Browne age 101 of Greenville, Ohio died at 3:32 A.M. on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. Marietta was born December 1, 1907 in Redkey, Indiana, to the late Jacob P. & Elizabeth (Dull) May.
Marietta was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville and the Greenville Country Club.
In addition to her parents; Marietta is also preceded in death by her 1st husband, James H. Diller; 2nd husband, William A. Browne III; sister, Virgie Baughn; and brother, Obed H. May.
Marietta is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, James “Jay” & Cheryl Diller of St. Louis, Missouri; step son & step daughter-in-law, Dr. William A. & Cornelia Browne IV of Oxford, Ohio; granddaughters, Debra Diller of Columbia, Missouri and Jennifer & Bill Kinner of St. Louis, Missouri; step grandsons, Mike & Lisa Browne of Noblesville, Indiana, Bill & Jerri Browne of Cincinnati, Ohio and Stewart Browne of Fairborn, Ohio; great granddaughter, Alexandra Kinner; 5 step great grandchildren; great nieces & nephew, Wanda Ray of Columbus, Ohio, Terry & John Brinkley of Hillsboro, Ohio and Tim & Jan Vance of Ft. Myers, Florida; and good friends & neighbor, Wes & Patti Jetter of Greenville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery in the new section. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Brethren Retirement Community.
