Mr. John Donald Cain, 80, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:29 PM at his residence. He was born on September 9, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Wince & Margaret (Butler) Cain.
Don retired from the Lewisburg Container where he was a Production Manager. He was a member of the United States Army, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Greenville Country Club, American Legion and the Eagles.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Diane Cain whom he married on July 8, 1950.
He is survived by his children and their spouses; Mary Janice (Wallie) Schmitt-Vickers of Mason, Ohio, Jack & Janeen Cain of Troy, Ohio, Sandra Fritzsch of Del Ray Beach, Florida, Dennis & Patsy Cain of Enon, Ohio and Tom Cain of West Chester, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Cain of Cincinnati, Ohio and one niece Patsy of Cincinnati, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 233 West 3rd St., Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Fr. John White celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Church Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 5-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. There will be a prayer service held on Friday at 4:45 PM at the funeral home.
