Jerome W. "Jerry" Barga, 70, of Greenville, Ohio passed away early Friday morning March 18, 2011 at Clare Bridge Cottage , Sterling House in Greenville, Ohio.
He was born September 8, 1940 in Rossburg, Ohio, son of Thelma Rose (Lambert) Barga of Greenville and the late Waldo Cyril Barga.
A farmer, Jerry had owned and operated Barga Sales and Service of Greenville until his retirement. A former Trustee of Neave Township and a former board member of Tri-Village Rescue.
He is survived by his wife Wilma (Davis) Fisher-Barga; children, Janell (Sean) Conlon of Greenville, Steve Barga of Greenville, Scott (Linda) Barga of Greenville, Jeff (Ginger) Barga of Rossburg; stepchildren, Brad (Lisa) Fisher of Sewickley, PA, Greg (Marilyn) Fisher of Cheswick, PA; 13 grandchildren; 9 stepgrandchildren; brother, Fred (Rita) Barga of Rossburg; sisters, Carol (Kenneth) Payauys of Worthington, OH, Susan (Philip) Panzarella of Galena, OH, Dixie (Richard) Liette of Troy OH; special friend, Cookie Barga; 2 nieces; 8 nephews; and numerous cousins.
Services will be held Monday, March 21, 2 p.m. at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Fr. John White officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Ft. Jefferson, Ohio.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Alzhiemer's Association or the State of the Heart Hospice.
