Steven F. Barga age 62 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away at 3:25 P.M. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the V.A. Medical Center in Dayton. Steven was born January 20, 1949 in Versailles, Ohio, to the late Beatrice M. “Bea” Barga.
Steven retired from Val Decker in Piqua. He formerly worked at Hobart Brothers in Troy and ALCOA Products in Sidney. Steven served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and the American Legion Post #140 in Greenville
In addition to his mother, Steven is also preceded in death by a son, Dale Barga.
Steven is survived by his wife, Pauline M. (Curtis) Barga, whom he married March 11, 1972; son, Scottie Barga and fiancée Joyce E. Dynes of Palestine; daughter & son-in-law, Sandy & Stephen Davis of Versailles; grandchildren, Kasidy & Lynndie Davis; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Nancy & Charles Hapner of New Paris; and numerous aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
