Donald “Butch” Myers, 75, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Village Greene Health Campus. He was born April 24, 1942, in Lena Ohio, a son of the late Frank and Opal (Baker) Myers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Myers; his sisters, Thelma and Sandy; his brother, Kenneth Myers.
Butch served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. After 25, years, he retired in 1997 from Hobart Brothers in Troy. He was a member of the Troy Country Music Association, and a former member of the Troy Moose Lodge. He was such an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, that Heartland Hospice made it possible for him to attend a special Cincinnati Reds game for patients with ALS, going to this game meant the world to Butch.
Butch is survived by his children, whom he cherished and were always in his heart, Donald E. (Brenda) Myers, Jr. of Troy, Kimberly Miller of Ansonia, Jeffery L. Myers of Arizona, Robert C. Myers of Troy, Margaret (Anthony) Barnes of Reynoldsburg, Mindy (Robert) Wilson of Conover, Ohio, Jennifer (Wayne) Ball of Troy, and Peter G. (Terri) Myers of Troy; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his sister, Barbara (Bill) Stewart of Piqua.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Eric Fee. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park at a later date.
