Kay Perez, 56, of Ansonia, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her residence.
She was born February 19, 1961 in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Curtis L. and Rebecca E. (Sanders) McEldowney. In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, Scott McEldowney and Curtis McEldowney, Jr.
Kay owned and operated Kay’s Tan and Tone in New Weston for 10 years. She was a very active member in the Darke County Cattlemen’s Association and Livestock in General 4-H Club. Kay enjoyed tending to her flowers and shopping. Kay and her husband cherished visits from their granddaughter, Mikayla, helping her work with her steers and getting ready for the cattle shows. Most of all, Kay enjoyed spending time with her family. When the entire family came together, her tradition was to make them mashed potatoes and noodles.
Kay is survived by her husband, Apollo Perez of Ansonia, whom she married on December 29, 1976; a daughter and son-in-law, Megan (Marcom) Cover of Rossburg; a son, Mason Perez of Mediapolis, Iowa; grandchildren, Mikayla, Amaya and Eric; brothers and sisters-in-law, Duane (Roxanne) McEldowney of New Madison, and Terry McEldowney of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends may visit on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio with Eric Laux officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
In the lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Livestock in General 4-H Club, 4578 Elroy- Ansonia Road, Ansonia, Ohio 45303.
