Tammie Lee Gilmore, age 60, of Piqua, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 8:06 PM at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on November 24, 1957 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Lester Franklin & Ruth Helen (Hess) Gilmore.
Tammie is survived by her children, Josh (Mindee Maitlen) Gilmore of Greenville and Fanta` (Brandon Montague) Gilmore of Piqua, Ohio; grandchildren, Oaniece Weaver, Oakley Gilmore and Isaiah Gilmore; siblings, Eddie Grace Young of Greenville, Frank (Claudia) Gilmore of Greenville, Gary (Cheryl) Gilmore of Greenville, Patty Jett of Greenville and Jill Jett of Indianapolis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by friend, Thomas Ester; sister, Deana Joseph; and brother in law, Steve Young.
Tammie loved children and worked at the Kids Learning Place in Greenville where she was a Preschool Teacher for the Head Start Program. Tammie enjoyed reading and was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. She absolutely loved the Christmas holiday but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Transformed Life Church in Piqua.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery, Brock, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
