Joanne M. Kaiser, 78, of Greenville and formerly of Rossburg, passed away Sunday morning, September 13, 2009 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville.
She was born in Dayton, daughter of the late William and Lucille (Martin) White. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Cheryl Kaiser.
A 1949 graduate of Ansonia High School, Joanne had owned and operated the former Bittersweet Flower Shop in St. Henry and had worked later as a nurse's aid at Wayne Hospital. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville and as an avid artist had belonged to the Greenville Art Guild.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald W. Kaiser whom she married on October 7, 1950; children, Doug (Patricia) Kaiser of Rossburg, Sheila (Greg) Cox of Troy, Bruce (Jane) Kaiser, Scott (Jodi) Kaiser and Todd (Susan) Kaiser all of Greenville; grandchildren, Shellie (Jeremy) Stump, Annette Kaiser, Dan Kaiser, Derek Kaiser, Nathan (Michelle) Cox, David (Christine) Cox, Emily (Nick) Burns, Philip Cox, Adam (Audrey) Kaiser, Eric Kaiser, Andrew ( Holly) McIntosh, Alex McIntosh and Cameron Kaiser; great grandchildren, Ava and Wyatt Stump, Quentin and Corbin Cox, Dominic Burns, Evan and Lillian Kaiser; sisters, Shirley (Nevin) Hiestand of Greenville, Charlene (Ralph) Obringer of Coldwater; and a brother, William (Cherry) White, Jr. of Garland, Maine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville with the Rev. Fr. John White celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service being offered at 3:45 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Greenville Art Guild.
