Lois Irene Niswonger (January 7, 1926 - September 11, 2009)

Lois Irene Niswonger, 83, of Arcanum, died Friday evening, September 11, 2009 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville. She had been in failing health. Mrs. Niswonger was born in Wayne County, IN on January 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace (Jackson) Thompson. Irene was retired from Delco Products, Dayton. She was preceded in death by brothers Norman, Darrell and Charles Thompson and sister Marie Druley. Irene is survived by her husband Harry Niswonger whom she married September 11, 1943; daughters Nedra Hedgecoth of Englewood and Meta Jane Landis and husband Larry of Greenville; sons Larry Niswonger and wife Elizabeth of Kodak, TN and Jim Niswonger of Englewood; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Step Grandson; 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 Step Great Grandson. Private memorial services will be at Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Rev Paul Chastain officiating. Interment will be at convenience of the Family in Abbottsville Cemetery.
