Martha A. Shell (June 10, 1924 - September 4, 2009)

Martha A. Shell, 85, of Arcanum, died Friday morning, September 4, 2009 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville. Mrs. Shell was born in Preble County on June 10, 1924, the daughter of the late Kelch and Zelma (Goodwin) Duffield. She was a lifetime member of Gordon United Methodist Church. Martha was a Homemaker and a Mother. Mrs. Shell was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) Shell who died September 13, 2008. She is survived by daughters Nancy Foureman of Durham, NC and Sandra Davis of Penfield, NY; Grandchildren Jason Foureman and Krista Davis; Great Grandchildren Nora Foureman and Matilda Foureman; Sisters Beverly Ayers of Arlington, TX and Louise Stockslager of Lewisburg. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Gordon United Methodist Church, Gordon with Pastor John Gilmore officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 3 - 5 PM at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum.
