Golda I. Matthieu (January 22, 2015)

Golda I. Matthieu, 99 of Versailles, Ohio passed away on Thursday January 22, 2015 at Versailles Health Care Center, Versailles, Ohio. She was born May 31, 1915 in Darke County, Ohio the daughter of the late John Rue & Iva (Fosnaugh) Rue Gasson. She retired from the Versailles Medical Center where she had worked as a Medical Assistant. She was a member of the Versailles Methodist Church and former Sunday School Secretary/Treasurer.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Joseph Matthieu; brothers: William, Basil, Robert, Richard, Lester, & Gerald Rue; sisters: Alma Gasson, & Hazel Matthieu; ½ brothers: Herman, Bobby, & John Gasson; step daughter: Florence Hardenbrook, step sons: Edson Sr., Leonard, & Henry Matthieu.

She is survived by her children & spouse: June & Harry Moody of Rossburg, Paul Matthieu of Englewood, & Joanne Darner of Dayton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio with Pastor Sylvia McKibben officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday January 26, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Methodist Church.
