Donna Lou Bey age 88, of Greenville and formerly of Versailles passed away at 3:29 AM on Monday, April 12, 2021, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Donna was born October 27, 1932, in Darke County to the late K.T. & Hazel (Mann) Gower. In addition to her parents, Donna was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Bey on December 21, 2011, whom she married June 27, 1953; brothers, Gary Gower in April 2008 and Robert Gower in May, 2020; and sister-in-law, Kay Gower in August 2012.
Donna is survived by her sons & daughter-in-law, Dennis & Mary Jo Bey of Troy and Douglas Bey of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, B.J. Bey and Andrea Bey; brother, James Gower of Union City, Ohio; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Gower of Union City, Ohio and Barbara Gower of Greenville.
Donna formerly worked as clerk and treasure for the Village of Versailles and she retired in 1991 from S.P.M. of Versailles where she was office manager. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Deacon Tom Graber officiating. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
