Wendell William Light (April 8, 2021)

Wendell William Light, 44, of Etna, Ohio passed away early on April 8, 2021 in a worksite incident in Columbus, Ohio. Born September 17, 1976 in Greenville, Ohio to the Late John Light and Ann (Light) Robinson.

Wendell graduated from Lima High School and entered the United States Marine Corps (honorably discharged). He attended Columbus State Community College studying Airframe and Powerplant technology. He became one of the top team leaders in installing specialized medical testing equipment and later a supervisor in industrial manufacturing of chemical bases.

Wendell used his skill set and natural talent throughout his life to fix about everything from corporate aircrafts, motorcycles, and automobiles to even building his own house. Always generous with his time, he helped many people with their carpentry, mechanical and electrical projects. He had a great passion for the outdoors and could be found in either his boat, kayak, hiking, fishing, riding his Harley, or sitting by a campfire with family and friends. He also enjoyed his Johnny Cash music, WW2 history, homemade popcorn, baking with Madelyn, late night movies with Isabelle, and dirt bike tracks. But most importantly, was his love for his two daughters & how proud he was of them.

Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Clarence & Mary Rita Poeppelman, and by his paternal grandparents, James & Arline Light. Wendell is survived by the love of his life, Nicole Light, and their daughters Isabelle Grace and Madelyn Jahn, all of Etna, Ohio; by his mother Ann Robinson (Samuel Robinson), Tipp City, OH, and his sister Amy (Stephen) Shellhaas, Rossburg, OH.
