Richard Meade, 77 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday March 28, 2021 at 2:33 AM at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio. He was born September 4, 1943 in Greenville, Ohio the son of late Marion & Mary (Shurte) Meade. He retired from the Union City Body Company, he also worked security at the Triangle on the weekends in his younger years.
He enjoyed being outdoors, going on walks, bird watching and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Donna L. Meade on June 19, 2013 whom he married December 2, 1962; his son in law: Mitch Tryon Sr.; step son: Rusty Edwards; brothers & spouse: Donald “Buster” Meade, John & Jeanie Meade, and Ralph Meade; sisters & spouse: Diane & Robert “Jr” Edwards, Debbie Edwards.
He is survived by his daughters & son in law: Jennifer Tryon of Greenville; Michelle & Todd Gasper of Union City, Ohio; his grandchildren & spouses: Christina (Tryon) & David Martinez, Mitchell & Jenn Tryon, Kassi (Clark) Frye, Judah & Michelle Gasper; his great grandchildren: Corbin Frye, & Tiana Mead; his brothers & sisters in law: Marvin & Deb Meade of Troy, Robert Meade of Greenville; his sister & brother in law: Carol & David Acker of Greenville; his sister in law: Connie Meade of Greenville; 9 nieces, 9 nephews: his step sons: John Edwards of Greenville, Charles Edwards of Greenville, Richard & Karen Edwards of Greenville; 7 step grandchildren & their spouses, children and grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday April 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday April 1, 2021 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Darke County Parks.
