Judith Kay “Judi” Pence, 66 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 8:42 AM at Versailles Rehab and Healthcare. Judi was born March 18, 1955 in Union City, Indiana, the daughter of the late Daniel Webster “Web” and Dorothy June (Young) Ganger. Judi was a school teacher for many years at Versailles Schools after graduating from Miami University, she also served as a cheerleader coach; she then worked as a secretary at the Darke County Fairgrounds.
Judi touched many lives throughout her life; she enjoyed doing puzzles and Sudoku’s.
Judi is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: James Kenneth “Jim” Pence on November 5, 2020 whom she married June 16, 1984; four stillborn children: Hannah, Samuel, Esther, and Joy.
Judi is survived by her son: Daniel “Danny” Pence of Greenville; her sisters and brothers in law: Anna Lee and Dale Dickerson of Union City, Ohio, Patty and Steve Foreman of Union City, Ohio; her father in law: Kenneth Pence; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday April 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Darke County.
