She was born on July 31, 1933, in Coletown, Ohio, to the late Corby and Irene (Reeser) Enochs.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie F. Burk; her infant son, Rodney Allen; her twin sister, Patty Lou Nease, her sister, Helen Godown; and her brothers, Lloyd, Robert, and Gene Enoch.
Music was a very important part of Betty’s life. She entertained audiences in her younger days playing the mandolin in Bob Cook’s band and then her husband, Hollie’s band, “Mavericks”, Betty also loved playing the mandolin and organ for family and friends, entertaining them for years while her husband, sister, and daughter accompanied her with guitar and vocals. Betty was also helpful in getting others started in their professional music careers.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Ronda Malott and her husband, Terry, of Greenville; her granddaughter, Dionne Mihalus and her husband, Matt, of Dayton, Ohio; great granddaughter, Marin Lou; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will take place at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
