Marilyn S. Leas age 80, of Greenville passed away peacefully in her sleep at 9:23 AM on Friday, December 25, 2020, at her residence.
Marilyn was born May 4, 1940, in Darke County to the late Marion D. & Pauline (Powell) Hufford. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. “Buck” Leas on May 15, 1988.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Michael C. & Bonnie Leas of West Liberty and Julie Hart of Greenville; grandchildren, Robert & Ellie Leas, Tyler Leas, Ashley & William DeBord and Erin & Josh Redd; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Liam, Emily, Braxton, Tyler Jr., Jace, Peyton, Sawyer, Saylor, Sara and Nattie; and sister, Shirley Minsterman of Greenville.
Marilyn retired in 2013 from Greenville City Schools where she was an Elementary Teacher for 37 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Christian Church in Greenville.
A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Gospel Baptist Church 115 West 5th St. Greenville with Pastor Japheth Bear officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Baptist Church or the Darke County Special Olympics. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
