Margaret (Walton) Rhoades passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at The Village Green in Greenville. She was born January 4, 1932, to Conley and Marie Walton. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard E. Rhoades. Margaret is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Deborah Rhoades; grandchildren, Amanda Jo, Alyssa Joy and Alphonso James; 3 great grandchildren, Isabel, Isaiah, and Zane Michael; numerous brothers/sisters in-law, nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Coleen.
Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Walton; her son, Michael Rhoades; her daughter, Annette Rhoades Durden,
all whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, and charm.
Margaret lived a full life as wife, mother and friend. She worked at NCR in Dayton, The Daily Advocate and Wieland Jewelers in Greenville. She did not like to cook and was blessed with a husband who knew all the good restaurants within the tri-state area. Margaret loved people and was a member of several organizations; Annie Oakley Camping Club, Treaty Square Dancing Club, Darke County Civic Theater, and shared the Annie Oakley Melodrama Stage. She was quite the actress! Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greenville. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at a later date.
