Robert H. DeMange (December 29, 2020)

Robert H. DeMange age 87, of Versailles passed away at 10:15 PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Robert was born October 8, 1933, in Darke County to the late Alfred & Ursula (Barga) DeMange. In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his brothers & sisters-in-law, Paul & Helen DeMange, Earl DeMange, Francis & Betty DeMange and Homer DeMange; sisters & brothers-in-law, Marie & Ed Vagedes, Rose Mary & Herbert Tobe, Ruth & Otto Tobe and Betty DeMange; brother-in-law, Elmer Link; and in-laws, Ernest Buening, Urban & Rita Buening, Ramon & Norma Buening, Albert Buening, Gregor & Helen Buening, Paul Buening, Louis Buening and Clarence Buening.

Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary F. (Buening) DeMange whom he married May 2, 1959; sons & daughter-in-law, Gerald & Mary Jo DeMange of Greenville, Donald DeMange of Ansonia and Steven DeMange of Greenville; daughters & sons-in-law, Kathleen & Jeff Kesting of Centerville and Carolyn & Richard Rose of Versailles; grandchildren, Kari, Ryan, Courtney, Jarrod and 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Link of Coldwater; in-laws, Alvina DeMange of Piqua, Alice DeMange of Versailles, Marita & Tony Grilliot of Celina, Dorothy Buening of Coldwater and Juanita Buening of St. Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert retired from Monarch Machine & Tool in Sidney and worked at Artisan Grinding in Dayton. He also farmed. Robert graduated from Versailles High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Navy after the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown with Rev. Fr. Jim Duell celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Cemetery Fund or the Ansonia Rescue. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
