Ronald C. Rexrode (December 21, 2020)

Ronald C. Rexrode, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 21, 2020. Ron, better known as Bubba to his family, was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Ron was the son of Beatrice and Tom Withrow, and Mac Rexrode of New Madison Ohio.

Ron was a 1961 graduate of New Madison High School.

Ron married his high school sweetheart, Nancy J. Rexrode (Hangen), on September 15, 1961. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage with their next wedding anniversary.

He valued family and hard work. Ron worked in multiple industries after high school, followed by owning his own business – Rexrode Pest Control. However, the job he loved the most was with Greenville School Systems as a custodian. His special talent was playing guitar. He played in a dance band for 20+ years. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle around town and following the Tri-Village High School sp
orts teams, especially basketball.

He is survived, loved, and greatly missed by his wife, Nancy; children, Shelly (Kris) Burns, Scott (Rhonda) Rexrode, and Greg Rexrode; grandchildren, Kaleb (Maegan) Rexrode, Kody Burns, Lindsay (Scott) Lawrence, Mattie (Chris) Brewer; great grandchildren, Liam Rexrode, Kaden Burns, Leah, Cassius and Bo Lawrence, Grady, Annie and Hazel Brewer; brothers-in-law, Bill Dinkins and Gary (Rhonda Rae) Hangen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leah (Rexrode) Dinkins; and mother-in-law, Eileen Hangen.

Visitation for Ron will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Tribute Funeral Homes, 215 E. Washington St., New Madison Ohio, 45346. The funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery.

Family and friends are encouraged to attend as their comfort level allows. Masking will be required for the safety of all in attendance.
