Jeff Hawley (May 6, 2010)

Mr. William Jeffrey Hawley, 58 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 8:18 AM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born on August 4, 1951 in Greenville, Ohio to Joan Hawley of Greenville, Ohio and the late Daniel Hawley.

Jeff worked as a Quality Control Engineer. Was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Greenville Bike Club and the Liars Club. He loved biking, running, fishing, camping and sports.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanie (Pequignot) Hawley.

In addition to his mother his is survived by his wife, Mary Lynne (Platt) Hawley of Greenville whom he married on June 30, 2007; children, Robert & Laura Hawley of Louisville, Kentucky and Daniel Hawley of Greenville, Tiffany Hawley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Andrew Detling of Greenville and Elyse Detling of Greenville; grandchildren, Johanna Hawley and Ellie Grosch; brothers and sister in law, Dave (Marcy) Hawley of Cincinnati, Ohio, John Hawley of St. Mary’s, Ohio and Tom Hawley of Yellow Springs, Ohio; father and mother in law, John & Alma Pequignot of Greenville; mother in law, Dottie Platt of Versailles, Ohio; brothers in law and sisters in law, Johnny & Dawn Pequignot of Hawaii, Jeff & Barb Pequignot of Greenville, Jack & Laura Pequignot of Greenville, Becky & Bob Empie of Greenville, Rachel & Kevin Jones of Greenville, Rhonda & Aaron Dorsten of Greenville, Kay Davis of Greenville, Mark Davis of Greenville, Julia & Rick Bowlin of Greenville, Chuck Platt of Greenville and Tim Platt of Venice, Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a service held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 9:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 114 East 4th Street, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. John Person officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 5-7 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. There will be no public visitation on Monday at the church.
