Marion M. Armstrong (May 21, 2010)

Marion M. Armstrong, 87 of Greenville, Ohio, and formerly of Union City, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 12:10 AM at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio. He was born on March 16, 1923 in Darke County, Ohio.

Marion retired in 1986 from Dairy Maid and also worked at Jerry’s Auto Sales for 2 ½ years and Mississinawa Valley School System for 3 years. He was a member of the United States Army serving in World War II.

Marion is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Armstrong whom he married on February 2, 1946.

He is survived by his daughter, Dwanna McMiller of Greenville, Ohio; son and daughter in law, Steven & Mary Armstrong of Greenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Stephanie (Rod) Mikesell and Joshua Armstrong; great grandchildren, Ashley Mikesell and Jacob Mikesell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be service held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

There will be a graveside military service conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions can be given to the VA Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio.
