Mary K. Bertram, 81, of Minster and formerly of Greenville, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 20, 2010 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.
She was born September 15, 1928 in Darke County, daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel (Moore) Brinley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Bertram, and three brothers, Raymond, Jr., Jimmie and W. Al Brinley.
Mary was retired from Whirlpool in Greenville, Ohio. She was a member of the Americian Legion Auxiliary, and The Women of the Moose all of Greenville and the Minster's Eagles Lodge.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonja (Edward, Jr.) Leugers of Minster; grandchildren, Edward Leugers, III and Lance B. Leugers; great-granddaughter, Destiny Leugers; brother, Lowell Brinley of Greenville; sisters, Margaret Lumpkin of Greenville, Jane Fletcher of Greenville and Esta Hathaway of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, May 24, at 11 a.m., at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, 1000 N. Broadway, Greenville, with the Rev. Sam Hoeflich officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollansburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2-5 p.m. A Lodge of Sorrow by the American Legion Auxiliary will begin at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Cancer Association of Darke County ot the Alzheimer's Association.
