Alice B. Clark, 98, of Greenville and formerly of Gettysburg, passed away Friday evening January 14, 2011 at Heartland of Greenville.
She was born December 24, 1912 in Darke County, daughter of the late Ortha and Bessie (Gibboney) Myers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold V. Clark; a son, Harold D. Clark; two daughters, Janet Clark and Welma Clark-Borges; and 7 brothers and sisters.
Alice attended Gettysburg School. She had owned and operated her own beauty salon for several years. She was a member of the former Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Gettysburg, and was 1st Lady Elder at Church and was a past Worthy Matron of the Gettysburg Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her children, Rev. Perry (Rosie) Clark of Fountain Inn, SC, Patricia A. Nolan of Las Vegas, NV, and William H. (Delores) Clark of Greenville; 14 grandchildren: 34 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; and a brother, William Myers of Colorado.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 18 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Perry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
