Helen Sue Keihl, age 67, of Versailles passed away January 20, 2011, in her home following an extended illness. She was born April 8, 1943, in Wolfe County, Kentucky, the youngest child of Paris and Emma Mae (Buchanan) Bradley. She graduated from Hazel Green Academy in 1960.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years David A. Keihl whom she married November 13, 1965, children Tabitha (Jeff) Clymer of Troy and David Todd (Shelly) Keihl of Bradford, her grandchildren Zane and Nelson Clymer who were her pride and joys, sisters Mildred Jones of Centerville and Fern Clark of Dayton. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Douglas Bradley, and sisters Bonnie Nickell, Margaret Brown, Betty Nickell, Jean Moehring, Naomi Nickell, Daphine Campbell, and infant sister Patricia Bradley.
Sue touched the lives of many. She was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, Grandma Sue, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a beloved Weight Watchers leader for the Versailles, Eaton, and Greenville communities for many years. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her home which was evident in the many number of garden and Christmas home tours she had.
Sue’s life will be honored on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Versailles Christian Church with Pastor Dennis Wheeler officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, 653 Hickey Ave., Versailles. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to State of the Heart Hospice, 1350 North Broadway Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331-2461. The family also wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to the Hospice staff that took care of Sue and to the many family and friends who prepared meals, sent words of encouragement, visited, and prayed for Sue and her family during her illness.
