Edna (Hill) Eberst, 97, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Brookdale of Greenville.
She was born September 23, 1920 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of the late James Cafferty and Sophia Veronica (Riehm) Barnett.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death, on June 26. 1961, by her first husband, Kenneth L. Hill, whom she married on December 17, 1945 in Vallejo, California. She was preceded in death, on February 4, 2005, by her second husband, Gordon Eberst, whom she married on July 3, 1982 in Gettysburg, Ohio. Edna was also preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
Edna retired from Hobarts of Greenville in 1983. She was a member of Gettysburg Presbyterian Church for over fifty years. She was a homemaker, enjoyed farming, sewing and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Connie Sinclair of Greenville, Thomas and Darlene Hill of Gettysburg, and Gary and Barb Hill of Pitsburg; four grandchildren and their spouses, Karen and Darrell Leis, Thomas and Shelly Hill, Nancy and Karl Albers, Sean and Sheridee McAfee; nine great grandchildren and their spouses, Megan and Ben Stull, Nathan and Kendra Hill, Emily Hill, Jacob Hill, Tyler Overholser and his fiancé Keona George, Ben Albers, Sam Albers, Jordan McAfee, and Graciana McAfee; and a great-great grandson, Benson Stull; step grandchildren and their spouses, Molly and Brian Ring, Darrek and Addie Leis, Darren and Kim Leis and Natalee Swallow; step great grandchildren, Landon Ring, and Avery Ring; and a step great-great granddaughter, Lux Leis.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12PM, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery.

Frederick “Fred” (BoBo) Fellers (December 31, 2017)
Frederick “Fred” (BoBo) Fellers, age 87 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 1:53 PM Sunday December 31, 2017 at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville. Fred was born October 11, 1930 in Darke County near Arcanum, Ohio and the son of the late Merlin & Frances (Sink) Fellers.
He was retired having worked for 24 years at the former N.C.R. Corporation of Dayton then BASF of Greenville followed with part time employment at Car Quest and Rodefeld’s both of Greenville. He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Greenville and a past member of the SPEBSQSA (Barber Shop Chorus).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Fellers and a stillborn brother Donald Fellers.
Fred is survived by his wife Wilma Jean (Hahn) Fellers of Greenville. They were married February 6, 1952. Also children Douglas (Pat) Fellers of Greenville, Daniel (Candy) Fellers of Miamisburg and Lori (Mike) Lemon of Greenville; grandchildren Eric (Stacy) Fellers, Nick (Alyssa) Fellers, Arinne (David) Lee, Ashley (Leslie) Fellers, Justin Fellers, Kari Lemon, Julie (Brian) Cook and Chance (Lauren) Tussey; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way; sister Alice Mae Harleman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday January 6, 2018 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Peter Menke officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Saturday 1 hour prior to the services in the funeral home. The Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct Full Military Honors Saturday at the funeral home.

Tammie Lee Gilmore, age 60, of Piqua, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 8:06 PM at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on November 24, 1957 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Lester Franklin & Ruth Helen (Hess) Gilmore.
Tammie is survived by her children, Josh (Mindee Maitlen) Gilmore of Greenville and Fanta` (Brandon Montague) Gilmore of Piqua, Ohio; grandchildren, Oaniece Weaver, Oakley Gilmore and Isaiah Gilmore; siblings, Eddie Grace Young of Greenville, Frank (Claudia) Gilmore of Greenville, Gary (Cheryl) Gilmore of Greenville, Patty Jett of Greenville and Jill Jett of Indianapolis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by friend, Thomas Ester; sister, Deana Joseph; and brother in law, Steve Young.
Tammie loved children and worked at the Kids Learning Place in Greenville where she was a Preschool Teacher for the Head Start Program. Tammie enjoyed reading and was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. She absolutely loved the Christmas holiday but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Transformed Life Church in Piqua.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery, Brock, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Eugene Bradford Wagner, age 85, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 7:05 AM at Village Green Healthcare Center, Greenville, Ohio. He was born on September 27, 1932 in Modesto, California to the late Clay & Orpha (Price) Wagner.
Gene is survived by his wife of 59 years Ruby E. (Sell) Wagner of Greenville, Ohio, whom he married on June 14, 1958; son, Paul Wagner of Bradford, Ohio, daughter and son in law, Lois & Stephen Britsch of New Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren, Sarah Britsch and Rachel Britsch; brothers and sister in law, Daniel Wagner of Greenville and Joseph & Letha Wagner of Modesto, CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter in law, Barb Wagner; brother, Alvin Wagner and sister in law, Thelma Jean Wagner.
Gene was a plumber for many years before retiring in 1997 from the Darke County Health Department where he worked as a plumber inspector for 17 years. He enjoyed farming, astronomy and traveling. Along with his wife they visited all 48 contiguous states.
There will be a service held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Oakland Church of the Brethren, Bradford, Ohio, with Pastor John Sgro officiating. Dennis Dale Brehm (December 24, 2017)
Dennis Dale Brehm, age 58 of Greenville, Ohio and formerly of Arcanum passed away at 10:50 PM Sunday December 24, 2017 at his residence. Dennis was born July 12, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio and son of Dale Brehm of Arcanum and the late Joyce (Garrod) Brehm.
Dennis was a Design Engineer employed at CDI-Aerospace of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of the National Auto Sports Association and had been active in auto racing, owning and racing his own cars at various race tracks in the Miami Valley Area. He also enjoyed taking his family to Auto Shows in the area. Dennis was a 1977 graduate of Arcanum High School, attended Miami Valley CTC and held 3 Associate Degrees from Sinclair Community College.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a daughter Jessica Lynn Brehm.
Survivors including his father are his wife Valerie (Kennedy) Brehm of Greenville. They were married April 15, 1990. Also children Patricia (Chester) Moore and Maggie Brehm all of Clayton, NC and William Brehm at home in Greenville; grandchildren Abigail and Adam Moore; sister Toni (Roger) Shellabarger of Greenville as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was born September 23, 1931 in Randolph County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Dewey & Leota McCracken.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Ebberts; her son Jack Ebberts; 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Mary retired from Fram after many years of service and was a member of the Coletown Congregational Church.
Mary is survived by her son, Rick Ebberts; her sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Leon Wise; a granddaughter and her family, Heather (Kenny) Ebberts Loffer York, and their children, Carysa and Ashtyn York; a grandson and his family, Chris (Donna) Ebberts Loffer, and their daughter, Alyssa Loffer; special friends, Joe and Cynthia Loffer; her daughter-in-law, Carla Ebberts, and several nieces and nephews.

Wilma L. Baker, age 101 and a half of Greenville, Ohio went home to be with her Lord at 10:40 PM Sunday December 24, 2017 at the Village Green Healthcare Center Greenville, Ohio. Wilma was born April 5, 1916 in Greenville and the daughter of the late Daniel and Bertha (Dismeier) Schafer.
Wilma was a graduate of Gettysburg Local High School. She worked at the Buckeye in Versailles, was a Department Manager for Montgomery Ward Store in Piqua, cashier for Marsh Supermarket and Office Manager for Pyrofax of Fort Recovery.
Wilma was an accomplished pianist and organist playing the organ for St. John Lutheran Church and Oakland Church of the Brethren. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church of Greenville and was baptized, confirmed and married in that church. She was a member of the ladies Dorca Bible Study Group at St. John and a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge. Along with playing the piano and organ she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, reading and watching TV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Delbert M. Baker. Also by her siblings and their spouses: sisters Louella Schafer, Florence (Schafer) Treon-Shoemaker, Frances “Buckles” Treon and Jake Shoemaker; brothers Walter Schafer, Elmer & Gladys Schafer and Addie Schafer, Herb and Marcella Schafer, Lawrence and Dorothy Schafer and Elaine Schafer, Harold and Peggy Schafer, Robert and Phyllis Schafer, son-in-law Larry D. Grove and grand dog Sadie Mae.

Linda S. Zumbrun, 67, of Greenville, passed away on December 22, 2017.

She was born May 26, 1950 in Greenville. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Gene Riegle.
Linda was a member of EUM Church and loved working as a bank teller at Greenville Federal. She shared her passion for all things horses with her husband, Tracy. She enjoyed gardening and visiting various nurseries. Most of all, Linda enjoyed life and nature to the fullest.
Linda is survived by her husband, of 10 years, Tracy Zumbrun of Greenville and their beloved dogs, Max and Precious; her mother, Martha (Arnett) Riegle of Greenville; her children and their spouses, Chris (Heather) Bright of Dayton, and Laura (Sean) Benson of Chandler, Arizona; her grandson, Hunter Benson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan (Linda) Riegle of Greenville, and Bruce (Diana) Riegle of Pennsylvania; her sister, Tami Huff of Greenville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barry C. Kimmel age 69, of Versailles passed away at 10:28 AM on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Barry was born December 24, 1948, in Greenville to the late Gary C. & Edith R. (Bellinger) Kimmel. In addition to his parents, Barry was also preceded in death by a sister, Carole Teeter.
Barry is survived by his wife, Donna (Kissinger) Kimmel whom he married May 25, 1968; children, Michelle & Kevin Reier of Ansonia and Lisa Malone & Bryan Hoop of Piqua; grandchildren, Josh & Sarah Kimmel, Kyle & Sharlotte Reier, Nate & Kendra Hill, Cianna Betts and Olyvia Malone; great-grandchild, Levi Ashley; sisters & brothers-in-law, Diane Kimmel of Sidney, Susan & Rob Allread of Dandridge, Tennessee and Jackie & Brett Musser of Tipp City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joanne Christine Oswalt, 86, of Arcanum, passed away on December 23, 2017 at State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville.
She was born April 15, 1931 in Monroe Township, Darke County, Ohio the daughter of the late Landon West and Opal Mae (Henninger) Oda.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, George Oswalt; her sisters, Eileen Thompson and Marjorie Groves; and an infant brother, Landon Oda.
Joanne was a member of Pitsburg Church of the Brethren, where she was active in the Women's Fellowship, preparing funeral dinners and luncheons for the church. She sang in the church choir, at many weddings and was a member of the Village Singers Community Choir. Joanne was an avid gardener and loved mowing grass. She baked cakes, candy, pies and cookies and she enjoyed embroidering and would give them as gifts to family and friends. Joanne worked beside her husband and son on the family farm.

Dick L. Canan, age 87 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 3:20 AM Friday December 22, 2017 at the Heartland Nursing Home of Greenville. Dick was born October 24, 1930 in Greenville and the son of the late William H. and Mabel M. (Hollinger) Canan.
Dick had retired in 1994 from Hobart Brothers of Troy, Ohio where he had been employed for 39 years as a tool designer. He was a member of the Greenville V.F.W. and American Legion, loved his dogs and was an accomplished woodcarver especially carving Santa’s. He was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Air Force from January 1951 until December of 1954.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou (Myers) Canan December 25, 2009. They were married September 25, 1955. Also 2 brothers William Canan Jr. and Jim Canan.
Dick is survived by his son and daughter in law Daniel R. and Melissa Canan of Greenville; brother Orville Canan of Centerville, Indiana as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Schricker of Troy Ohio and Troy Overbay and wife Hiwot Demeke of Bowling Green Kentucky and daugher Kelly Williamson and fiancé Vladimir "Dean" Lepka of Wayne Lakes; grandchildren Justice, Jayden, Jordy, Madelyn, Chealie, Mckenna, Joah and Liberty Schricker, Brittany, Tia and Mariah Williamson, Hunter, Abigail and Ashley Overbay and great-grandchildren Easton and Ryder Warner.

Barbara Jene (Snook) Drake, 83, of Lima and formerly of Greenville, passed away December 19, 2017 at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio
Barbara was born on June 20, 1934 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Harold and Dessa (Fuller) Snook.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Drake, Sr.; her son, John A. McDonald, Jr.; her daughter, Barbara Anne Kelley; her brothers Harold Snook and Larry Snook; her sister, Becky Black; and her step-daughter Sandra Jo Engle.
Barbara was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Greenville, and the Southwestern Ohio Radio Club. Barbara was a nursing assistant for many years, having worked at Briarwood Manor in Coldwater, Community Care in Portland, Indiana and eventually retiring from The Brethren Retirement Community.
Barbara is survived by her children, Denise Marie Drake of Las Vegas, Shannon Marie (Dave) Shepard of Lima, Charles William (Roxanne) Drake, Jr. of Orion, Michigan and John David Drake of Cridersville, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Diane (Vaughn) Clingman of Columbus; her brother-in-law, Norman Black of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara is survived by her children, Denise Marie Drake of Las Vegas, Shannon Marie (Dave) Shepard of Lima, Charles William (Roxanne) Drake, Jr. of Orion, Michigan and John David Drake of Cridersville, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Diane (Vaughn) Clingman of Columbus; her brother-in-law, Norman Black of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.

James E. Hufnagle (December 14, 2017)
James E. Hufnagle, age 85 of Bowling Green, Kentucky and a former resident and native of Greenville, Ohio passed away Thursday December 14, 2017 in Bowling Green. He was born December 3, 1932 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Oscar and Mary (Byers) Hufnagle.
He was retired from construction work and was a veteran serving in the US Navy during the Korean War from April 15, 1952 until March 22, 1956.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Stubbs) Hufnagle November 29, 2002, daughter Shirley Hunt, sister Patricia High and brother Robert Hufnagle.
James is survived by daughter Judy Hellinger and son in law John Hellinger of Bowling Green, KY, daughter Sharon Hufnagle of Siler City, NC; step daughter Jackie Scott of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren Brian Hellinger, Stacey Dunham, Adam Candalori, Casey Bunch and Dylan Curtis; great grandchildren Desi Barfield, Joey Barfield, Isabella Hellinger and Emma Hellinger; brothers William Hufnagle of Dayton, Joseph Hufnagle of Okeechobee, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday December 28, 2017 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until time of the services in the funeral home. The Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct Full Military Honors Thursday in the funeral home.

John Louis Klipstine (December 15, 2017)
John Louis Klipstine, 70, of Ansonia, passed away early Friday morning, December 15, 2017 at Village Green Health Campus in Greenville.
He was born February 22, 1947 in Greenville, the son of George Louis Klipstine of Versailles and the late Joan (Black) Klipstine.
In addition to his mother, John was preceded in death by his step-mother, Sally Clymer Klipstine.
John was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles, the Elks and the Goldwing Road Riders Association. At one time he was an Ansonia Village Councilman and served on the Greenville National Bank Board of Directors. He attended Ohio Northern University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in education. He taught for the Greenville School System at the Gettysburg School for six years before returning to his family’s business, Ansonia Lumber, where he was the bookkeeper from 1975 until 2010 when he retired.
John was a family man and played a leading role in the lives of his children, then later his grandchildren. He was attending all their sporting events, even the baseball games, which he didn’t enjoy as much but wouldn’t have missed them for the world. He loved fishing and would take his family on annual trips to Long Lake in Frazee, Minnesota. He enjoyed the outdoors, boating and loved taking trips with Becky on their Honda Goldwing motorcycle. John enjoyed many weekend trips with his family to Angola, Indiana for hours of boating and fishing. He and Becky also loved to head south to their winter home in Lake Wales, Florida when the weather got too cold. John was a wonderful husband and loving father and grandfather. He will never be forgotten and is already missed dearly.
John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Becky (Blackburn) Klipstine, whom he married June 30, 1968; his children and their spouses, Todd and Tammy Klipstine of Ansonia, and Krista and Tony Spence of Union City, Indiana; six grandsons, Adam and Chance Klipstine, Trevor, Tanner, Trendon and Treyton Spence; his brother and his wife, Bill and Kim Klipstine of Versailles; step-brothers and their spouses, Bryan and Aliana Clymer of Greenville, J.D. Clymer of Versailles, and Lenny and Tina Clymer of Florida; step-sisters and their spouses, Rene and Devon Wasson of Union City, Indiana, Connie and Jim Sink of Englewood, Ohio, and Teresa and Roger Fleckenstein of Versailles. John also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends and two special dogs, Kaycee and Lexi.

Cindi S. Hill age 46, of Greenville passed away at 12:30 PM on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Cindi was born November 20, 1971, in Greenville to Barbara (Hoskins) Malott of New Madison and the late Richard Malott.

Tony Alan Walters (December 14, 2017)
Tony Alan Walters, 50, of Greenville, passed away early Thursday morning, December 14, 2017 at his residence.
He was born February 9, 1967, the son of Tony (Charlene) Walters of Greenville, Carol Nelson of Eaton, Ohio.
Tony was preceded in death by his step mother, Judy Walters and his step father, James Nelson.
Tony was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed fishing, golf and basketball, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a junior high school basketball coach for 16 years at Arcanum and Winchester Junior High Schools, and was a golf coach for six years at Winchester Community High School. Tony was a group leader at Whirlpool with 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Tony is survived by his wife of four years, Stephanie (Rainey) Walters, whom he married June 29, 2013; his son, Jordan Walters of Pensacola, Florida; his step-sons and their spouses, Logan Riser of Fort Drum, New York, and Justin and Alana Riser of Union City, Indiana; Grandson, Braydon Riser; his brother and his spouse, Tim and Mindy Walters of Greenville; his sisters and their spouses, Terri (Kevin Savely) Pollock of Hebron, Ohio, and Susan and Dan Denlinger of Eaton, Ohio; Step brother, Bill Nelson of Sidney, Ohio; step-sisters and their spouses, Lora and Brian Brandon of Arcanum, and Amy Barnes; and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
